hey all, I know that the 2860rs is the disco potato, and that the 2860-5 is the 2530 equivalent, but you can get them both in the same specs on paper... and a mate is selling his 2860rs. So, is there any difference between the 2860-5 http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...0R_707160_5.htm and the 2860rs http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...RS_739548_1.htm Will be going on an rb25, aiming for 200awkw, and want good midrange: 2.5k rpm ->5.5k rpm. Thanks for any help, -Ryan

couldn't of said this better myself! The thing that is missing these days is discipline, once this generation is working, i think the no smacking laws will be abolished, or our country will crumble. The thing that really gets to me is that i seem to find immigrants treat us like shit, the whole "we paid to be here" mentality. Shit, i've had family fight wars(and die) so you could be here, show this great nation some respect! So many areas now resemble third world ghetto markets- Footscray, Clayton, Springvale, Glen Waverley to name a few! So many people who come here, or been born and raised here have an elitist attitude, where everyone SHOULD be f**king equal. I'm going to stop now, as I could write a book on the topic, but I'll put it this way- It won't be long before I'll be racist and proud of it, And the groups it will be aimed at will have no-one to blame but themselves! -Ryan

Making Your Stagea A Fuel Miser
_Ryan_ replied to groonsnout's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
fuel lines, injectors, fuel pump seals ETC, 5% occasionally normally with half a tank of mobil in the bottom seems okay... my mechanic and his peers use 10% 100ron as its near the shop, no issues yet... been a few years. -

Which Turbo For Best Response On Stagea Rb25neo?
_Ryan_ replied to pixel8r's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i need more power from ~3k->5.5k as that is where i need it, simple. 48T 2871 could be the way to go in rb25 housing, past 200awkw my cooler, injectors, auto, AFM, ECU will need upgrading, but i would sit around there on a piggy back happily. Dale, your write up is awesome, should be an article on the 48T 2871! has anyone used a 52T 2871 with T2-T3 adaptor flange(or dump?) and lines to suit? What is the garret spec for a 2530? Thanks all, -Ryan -

GTRS is detectable, so instant no-no for me. I will be trying out Eastern's highflow, might finnish the brakes on the 1600 first, but will be doing it next year. GCG just doesnt seem to take off til after 6k rpm... What is the Garret equivalent to the 2530? -Ryan -

I found the GCG to not really be that impressive when as a passenger... Too much lag, I want a GTRS-ish spec'd 2871 in a stock housing.... but would be happy with smaller. Dale, How much more lag would i expect from the 56T compared to the 48? -Ryan -
They can take another car in the place of yours, so don't bother transferring yours... i have done a similar thing in your situation, GF had a food allergic reaction, anaphylaxis sets in, i stopped in at the cop shop as my car is playing up and ask them to rush her in to hospital, i fkn carried her in, they just gave me a rough idea where the hospital was, and i broke as many road rules as i had too! My old man was pissed as, VicPol's moto is To Serve and Protect... enough said. Lawyer up, but at the end of the day, you did the right thing morally, if you loose your license, who cares, you showed compassion and know what matters, as long as other people weren't in danger due to your driving, then even if you loose in court, you still won. Family matters.

33GTR front, GTST rear, going to 32GTR front to hopefully get more travel then revalve all(got a guru handy ) deciding on springs ATM get swaybars from Gary, after a 20min convo with his son there is good reason, i got my bars for trade price, but now spendning money on Gary's rear links to fix the rear bar. I got my shocks in a rush as i had a lot of KM to do and i had 3 blown shocks, and wasnt risking any thing with my GF on board! In hindsight, everything from Gary is the way to go. -Ryan

Which Turbo For Best Response On Stagea Rb25neo?

i've been reading up on doing a 2871 based highflow for max response, with an aim of 200awkw(limit of cooler, injectors, auto, etc) Spoke to Eastern Turbochargers, and going to look into one of their 450hp highflows as he recon's he can give stock response(unlike GCG) with similar if not more power... more on that once a few other things are taken care of. A mate of mine is selling a brand new gt28rs T3 for 1400 brand new. -Ryan -

R34 Gtt Stock Side Mount Intercooler ---> On R33?
_Ryan_ replied to WOG BOY's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Seriously, have any of you done this? One of the people saying not to do it drives an S14 LOL. if you are sober, hour job to do, 23% increase in size/flow... i had no rise in boost at the plenum but alot more response read this how-to: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...age-t69501.html if aiming for ~210rwkw, i would do it, and they are in demand, so i would do it even if you change later. better than cheap chinese FMIC's, legal(er), and doesn't restrict flow to your radiator so better over summer. I found less eaily heat-soaked than the 33(stagea) cooler, so i reccommend it. -Ryan -
