  2. if no one organises a meet by wednesday, all PM me for a meet spot and destination. if people have work we will make it later. -Ryan
  3. +1 dilmah, with the attessa, it doesnt like different rolling diameter front/rear. something to keep in mind. -Ryan
  4. not far from you Jarryd
  5. control arms stayed on, i got them done by Chris at Nissco, needed a press. Drive-in/Drive-out shouldnt be more than an hour. -Ryan
  6. do a ute rear! I was thinking that it needs to be done, but i have sunroofs
  7. did 1100km today, found some roads on a family friends private property, could do very decent corner speeds, not stiffening bars anymore as any stiffer on the front will understeer, any more on the rear will make it nervous, car seems okay, i need to get my braking smoother, couldnt make it as unsettled as it was the other day, easily had two outside wheels screeching, so would say this setup is the limit of the tyres for at speed corners, my driving needs work for technical stuff, as does my braking, but i had great turn in. going to get damper rates sorted once Matt or Gary gets springs in, then will go back to the bars. I found a bit of roll was beneficial for getting good turn inon the tighter stuff and stability at speed. -Ryan
  8. i'm in
  9. Gary- My bars only have two settings. AlexCim has my new pads so when i fit them and my rotors i will put my front bar on the only other level, then after a week will do the rear. Stasis- To compensate for the roads camber. -Ryan
  10. Gary, The info that came with my kit is the same as in the mag, i can wire it from the pinouts you said, but where do i put the big resistor? and if the IC's are around the wrong way, can i switch them? 1&2 only had stick on labels on them not matching the parts list. -Ryan
  11. REAR: L R Camber -1.04 -0.56 Toe +1.0mm +1.4mm Front Camber -1.05 -0.51 Toe +0.3mm +0.2mm Castor +5.16 +5.13 when i can get back in with craig will play with it following exactly what gary said with the front bar stiffer, then go from there.
  12. Gary, Traction Tyres in Rowville did the alignment, i told them the settings you mentioned and mentioned your name, he knew of you and did it off of that... couldn't get enough of my rear camber out(still have -1), but he explained to me the dynamics of IRS and why i shouldn't go for less. I might try and change the front bar to the hardest setting now. -Ryan
  13. cheers Gary i'll try and have a look at it tonight.
  14. access autoworks have trust kits for 590... wont find a better deal http://www.accessauto.com.au/
  15. on a budget? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ja...tro-t61207.html
  16. BTW, rear end feels nervous so i wouldn't recommend soft rear/soft front, i would go soft rear/stiff front as Gary recommends, but I personally prefer to start off soft and stiffen it until i find the sweet spot.
  17. Okay, gotta be quick coz i'm ment to be converting the back of the stagea into a bed... Fitted bilsteins first, defiantly worth every cent. Using standard springs. Fitted Bushes day before yesterday, everything felt BEAUTIFUL, turn in was great, general 'feel' was improved, the poly replacing the old rubber amazed me, front felt superb. Fitted swaybars yesterday, rear on softest, front on softest, front end feels like it has shit bushes now, aligned today by traction tires, they did a good job, recommend them highly. Took it for a short drive, unhappy with the bodyroll, doing 800km this weekend, so will assess it, if i have time, half way through i will stiffen up the front bar, will report back next week. Talking to the guy at traction(manager, great bloke), we discussed it and the general dynamics of what the car is doing, he agreed with my conclusion: Return to stock bars, get custom springs and shocks valved to suit. Probably keep to pretty much the same specs as whiteline springs, just better quality. Might try and track down some Nismo S-tech. The Design of the whiteline bars uses the binding up of the bushes/links to cheaply stiffen the car/hopefully reduce bodyroll. This hasn't given me a good effect/feel, and i will review my decision to return to stock after this weekend, but right now you can tell what i am thinking. Also on the topic of whiteline design, they used shit quality fittings, as with all swaybars i have bought i will be going to a 'bolt barn' type joint and replacing all nuts/bolts with high tensile items that properly fit my sidchrome spanners. The only reason why i am considering aftermarket springs is because lowering with the circlips reduces tire/wheel clearance. 225/50/16 Bridgestone RE001's, tested 38-42psi hot pressures on various days, and now stick to 40psi warm. I have always played with tires on the 16/r31's/stagea. If anyone wants low KM swaybars, PM me Cheers, -Ryan
  18. do a search for R&R does it drive fine now?

  20. DONT FORGET THE DUMP PIPE. www.gktech.com.au has dump pipes for 100$, and fronts with flex pipe for a similar price. -Ryan
  21. earth your standard boost solenoid, if it fixes it, then read thru Sydneykids jaycar thread, and there is a photo showing how to re-route vaccum hoses. Warning, check with a mechanic first, this might only help if your current wastegate setup is identical to stock bar the adjustment.
  22. why not just an r34 gtt SMIC? should handle ~200 or so rwkw, and get a non-restrictive turbo back exhaust with highflow cat. AlexCim has a 34 cooler for sale, i think he wanted 150 for it.
  23. I reccomend their bushes. That is it. gonna track down some nismo springs, or go custom. i got the bushes installed yesterday, best upgrade possible for a stagea, camber/castor and thats it. the swaybars were a waste of money. I will try and get comparison photos next week, big rally this weekend so could have trouble getting hoist time. Here are my findings: After Bilsteins- Felt good After Whiteline camber/castor bushes- great turn in, front end felt 'tighter' more steering feel, slightly heavier steering. After Swaybars- possibly sits flatter, car feels 'sloppy' I'm going to put some KM's on the car, then if i don't like it, will be selling the whiteline bars and going to stockies and spending the money on the datto. -Ryan
