Castor Bar Bushes|coilover Q's
_Ryan_ replied to Mangune's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I highly recommend a set of bilstein B6's for a daily ride. some tein or king springs would go with it, should be an off the shelf match. These will also work well with standard springs. Whiteline or superpro make an adjustable bush kit. I recommend this over an adjustable arm, as you said, daily not track car. depending on location, you could use Centreline Suspension 72 Lipton Drive, Thomastown PHONE : 03 9469 2914 FAX : 03 9460 7215 Quadrant Automotive Suspensions (Aust) Pty Ltd 63-65 Intrepid Street Berwick, Victoria, Australia, 3806 Ph: 03-9768-9109 Fax: 03-9768-9173 Email: [email protected] Web: http://www.quadrantsuspensions.com.au Traction tyres http://www.tractiontyres.com.au/ 65 Kelletts Rd Rowville VIC 3178 (03) 9764 2811 GT Suspension 137 Mt Alexander Rd Flemington VIC 3031 (03) 9376 0777 -
Have you had your radiator cleaned out yet? In my experience, giving the car a thrash on the flat is nothing to temps compared to driving up hills, Might be an airflow thing?
-
But it sounds like a great preventive step for the JDM cars now in Aus...

R33 Shocks/springs
_Ryan_ replied to prescott06's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
IF getting the B6's revalved to suit the new springs, why not get the shaft shortened, or replaced with a shorter shaft? 32GTR rear won't fit. -
Record it and play it through your stereo

Which Tyres To Get?
_Ryan_ replied to eightsixboy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
daily? $235 in most daily sizes(225/50/16, 235/45/16) will get you RE001's, great tyres. Last 30-40k km awesome wet/dry I have used and highly recommend. -
I would get it rebuilt with a higher current/capacity if possible, and your auto elec okays it.

Same, when i moved, managed a fridge(in box). also managed a 46" TV(in box) plus all the other crap. THis is nice(not mine) -
Go to bursons and get a bosch one to suit R33 GTST OZA 395-E2 $78 You will need a special tool to change it, it is approx. $22 or you can borrow one if you know someone with one. If you still have a standard dump pipe and plan on changing it yourself in future, might be worth buying the tool. Make sure it matches your socket. I found dump/front/highflow cat helped economy on my stagea.

Too many people have had them and rented them out, only to have them come back broken... It might not be the best thing to do, Unless it was rented out at a decent rate.
-
plug, loom, sensor. I paid $78 at bursons. How is it on the freeway?
-
OZA 395-E2 from memory is the plug in one to suit GTST Confirm when you buy it. Trade price is approx. $78.
-
AFM Can be cleaned, must be done when it is cold, I use CO Contact cleaner. Check the Oxygen Sensor is functional, laptop with consult, multimetre, greddy informeter etc. a new one is ~$78 There are many threads on this. When did you last change your plugs(and service the car?) I personally did it when I did my oxy sensor. Also check tyre pres.

Looking For Good Cheap Reliable Mechanic
_Ryan_ replied to ryan101's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Try your local state section, assuming Victoria, there are many recommended mechanics if you are willing to come to Melbourne. A quick search will reveal all. -
Council style log fence with hedge growing around it would do the job, and be pretty cheap IMO.
