Stagea - Not Happy With Performance
_Ryan_ replied to insanity82007's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I know it can be done on series 2's, but can it be done on series 1's without changing to a Z32 ECU? -
Do you have one or two sets of bushes ATM?

Wine Red stag out the back of Rye/Rosebud, looked like a butchered front bar.

standard assortment of whales(r33's) all over the peninsula yesterday, and a wine red stagea. Saw GTR-3 silver 33GTR just then, had SAU sticker, who is he?

The Cops Are Ramping It Up - Leave The Skyline At Home!

one big enough flaw will give you a major if the Office sees it as a safety issue, IE; tyres on belts. it is up to the officers discretion. -
I run 38-40ish in mine. 235/45/17 I found they got better after a few decent drives. Would be interested in a follow up after another track day or two John?

get Reuben's overnighted. Prob the quickest and easiest being drop in.

Seems the best way IMO, I don't know why people would go as far out of the way as Ballarat. I do a bit of driving to Geelong and sometimes on to Colac, but never past that. Colac is 45mins-1hr past Geelong, depending on the run you get and which way you go. If that helps the planning.

Having Trouble Adjusting Height
_Ryan_ replied to Chi100188's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Lefty loosey righty tighty.. Turn the rings AWAY from each other to unlock, towards to lock. So both rings need to turn away from each other to unlock. Locking ring towards the rear when on the drivers side. Carefully apply a spray on lube(WD40 or similar) to the thread, avoid the shock shaft. -

I'am Now A Proud Owner Of A Stagea 260rs

Look into a Jim Berry clutch, he can make something to suit your needs. There are many threads on him. Bottle in the rear is ATTESSA fluid, check the level with the car idling, should be between min and max. there are threads on the best fluids etc -
Only reason I did my thermostat was piece of mind, and it was 50$. See if a replacement is listed here... http://www.jayrad.com.au/

if its going to overflow, the rad cap could be shagged, always use OEM caps with OEM setups. rad cap can be functional and it can still overflow. as it should. if the issue is on the freeway/at speed, more likely going to be blocked up than the fan, fan would be low speed. freeway speeds you should be getting decent airflow unless you tailgate BAD Does it take a long time to heat up?
-
Manual or auto? Autos can be harder to get an off the shelf replacement rad due to the loop for bringing trans fluid up to temp. Getting the standard rad flushed and a new OEM thermostat would be the first port of call IMO, unless M35's are massively under-cooled...(Waits for M35 owners to post)

Top half, UP bottom half, the front has to come UP, then once the two pins are free, the whole seat comes FORWARD+UP

I Has Been Defected Last Night, Get Few Questions
_Ryan_ replied to Skyline ER34's topic in Victoria
Operation Remove All Impaired Drivers is aimed at removing Impaired Drivers, as the name would suggest. Isn't it something else that is on at the moment that is a blitz on ALL un-roadworthy cars? If you have a minor for too low, you could still get a major for something else if the Officer finds something and deems it suitable for a Major defect, so do not think you are immune to a defect notice as you already have one. They could also add to your existing defect could they not? -
These look nice... http://www.are.com.au/products/oilcoolers.htm Apparently their gear is decent, them claim to put a bit of R&D into it.

The Cops Are Ramping It Up - Leave The Skyline At Home!
_Ryan_ replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
In a residential area, expect a kid to run out... Driving 101. Or child minding 101 really. Pretty sure its not serve and protect anymore. Anyway, (I'm sure I am not the only one thinking this)We only hear one side of the story, and your side always has you being little miss daisy, always taking your mum somewhere or visiting your parents, being a little angel, doing 10km/h under the limit, not reving the car, driving in a manner that would seek attention etc, yet you get reamed again and again. Are you telling the full story? Do have a terrible attitude? Do you drive like a fresh P plater and boot it from every set of lights and BOV every girl walking along? Was your car slammed before? I just don't get it. I live in the inner-east, I frequent many "hot-spots", Yet I don't have issues. I received a couple of fair infringements when I first got my P's. and the officers dropped by the next day, sat me down and gave me a stern talking to and explained to me from their point of view why what i was doing was illegal, the risks etc, And to me that was/is Good law enforcement, and that is why I have respect for the Police. I have received one infringement I didn't agree with, I could of fought it and got off if I sent a letter, but at the end of the day it was a breach of the law even though it wasn't intentional, so you learn from things. People need to learn from things, and not just say "f**k the Police". Don't whinge about a lack of racetracks, be proactive and contact MP's about it. The older voters want "hoons off the street", We want "a safe and legal environment", so make them understand it is the same thing. All the voters can get what they want. Then all you are left with are the minority of dickheads with either no impulse control or no brains. or both. -
The Cops Are Ramping It Up - Leave The Skyline At Home!
_Ryan_ replied to Spunky Munky's topic in Victoria
'v8tzr' Please explain how it is just generalizing, If you want the tax money directed somewhere, or particular issues targeted, contact the relevant MP's with a well written letter and see how you go. Make good, strong points, evidence to support your points and see how you go. Attach a hand signed petition with it and see if it goes further. Don't start off with" The Police target us...", If you don't give them ammo, they won't use it. Anyone in a front-line role will have their bad moments, they will be frustrated, They might of just attended a fatal car crash, then seen you do the same thing that caused the last one, and is annoyed that you just don't get it? So what if 1% of the time you have a bad experience, we all have a bad day every now and then. Police have to have to deal with the dickhead factor in the same way Call Centre or any other front line roll does, now think about how much shit you gave that telco person when you wanted something changed? The police cop some people with bad attitudes too. Think about the drunk guy harassing the bar chick you might see when you are out, then imagine being the one having to deal with that kind of attitude when you pull them over for drink driving(the mentality of the drunk dickheads), and they are in the wrong... Follow? BTW, I don't mean anything demeaning with my analogies, just trying to put it into a perspective that might help people THINK about the amount of crap the police put up with, so if you get someone on a bad day, give them a break, don't just whinge, as you get people on a bad day anywhere, in any front-line contact in an organization. Just my views....
