  1. Would it be possible to overlay a stock curve for those following at home?
  2. LOL, My datto used to rape a worked civic often and other hondas and sprinters etc. all NA(and was quicker than a charged sprinter). its all about torque and gearing in NA cars.... go for any R32/33/34 with a factory RB25, and take weight out, and play with the diff ratio. Get the suspension perfect. Keep in mind even an air filter and exhaust is punishable for you.
  3. midnightmods http://www.midnightmods.com.au/shopping/default.asp pretty sure Damo will just make a set up.
  4. i do fuel filters every 20k km, read it in a service manual...
  5. Sorry to hear about your accident. Your back has healed before.... Doctors are never right, an old mates father was meant to be dead in 2000, he is still here... If anything, I would go different seats, change the suspension, and clutch that is smooth to engage. My stagea is hardly stiff to sit in(my 82grandmother with a damaged spine finds it fine), but handles more than well enough to keep me very happy. A Stagea that looks good, has power, is comfy and set up as a cruiser is still a nice car! Yours is only a suspension and seat change away from this. The car is a tribute to your father, you have been thrown a curve ball, medicine is not an exact science, and our visions for our cars evolve/change with our lives. Look at all the natural therapies aswell as what the doc says, and take care of yourself. It won't kill the car to sit still for a year while your back stabilizes, and might save you from a decision you will regret. -Ryan
  6. Emissions laws. Engineers cert won't cover it, they only cover things that don't effect Emissions/EPA(Without the expensive emissions testing). So the best option IMO, look for a standard motor that puts out your target power, and do a conversion(by the book). Eg, RB26 in GTST, VH45 in GTST, unsure if LS1/LS2 is legal in GTST, but I think it would be the best bang/buck. Brake upgrades, suspension mods(some) can be engineered, certain seat changes etc. Ash, this is going from memory from when I had a datto, If the info is wrong, feel free to delete my post.
  7. So you can get pinged for- Modified vehicle, Power-Weight, Unroadworthy vehicle, Major defect, EPA, plus the offense for which you are pulled over. This will be expensive, prob get the 5points needed for a loss of license too if you don't have P's up or are speeding etc. Then if that doesn't put you off, If you are in an accident, TAC injury insurance and your Property insurance won't cover you after they inspect the vehicle.(Assuming write-off accident). Have I put you off yet? Buy something sensible, drive sensible, spend the money on other areas of the car, and just enjoy the freedom and learning to drive. R34 GT-V is pretty much an R34 GT-T minus the RB25DET IIRC. Any skyline with an RB25DE will be quick(not fast, fast doesn't matter due to speed limits) enough. R32's do come factory with RB25DE if you look hard enough. My opinion.

Congrats on the car and wedding! I think we all go euro once we have the cash and get over the headaches.( i will be post-wedding)
  10. Currently it is priced to match a Genuine 260RS after negotiations. Match it to a Series 2, manual price wise and see what happens. There will be parts that wont sell... Have you tried contacting wholesalers just to move it quick?
  11. Grab a random GTT's rego, run it thru vicroads online(free) and get the VIN, run it through FAST, get part numbers.
  12. Check part numbers in the shop, where possible check inside the packaging too. Nearly had wrong oil filters a few times and been handed the wrong fuel filter before. Same goes for plugs, everything really.
  13. Read this? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...T-Da-t9445.html Maybe 180rwkw Trust sidemounts are meant to be decent, the 34SMIC is meant to be fine for 220rwkw. and cheaper IMO, don't fit the fuel press reg, will look stock. Are you aware the K&N is an oiled element filter? AFM's don't like this. I personally would change it before fitting the Z32.
  14. yup, I was quoted the same by NatRad for me taking it out and no toptank, in the end being in an apartment I needed drive in drive out, and the top tank was extra. cracked on pull apart along the flat bit behind the cap. The fan can work perfectly, and if the cores are blocked it will still heat up in traffic with the aircon on. Plug something into your consult port and monitor it, the factory gauge is a normal range or OH SHIT.
  15. Better than people thinking you should drive a commo or falcon IMO. We all get stereo-typed. (I'm UK decent (4th or 5th gen)Aussie) -Ryan
  16. one would assume it would require the same work as any other stagea. jump on FAST and check reo part numbers, as the 260RS has a factory front mount so it might be different.
  17. get it pulled apart and cleaned, budget for a new top tank. expect to pay 300ish drive in drive out.
  18. in 52trim
  19. As Paul already covered the likely issues, If you click this, you will find the forum index, Try forced induction for the EBC issues, suspension etc for the steering/HICAS. search them and see if others have had the same issues... What EBC is it? Find out, find a manual, and work out exactly what it is telling you. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forums.html
  20. paying more than 1500 for just the turbo locally is too much(unless RB specific), it is far from bolt on, and a poor match for an RB25. A GCG highflow is proben to be a great match, will cost less, and be bolt on. Do a search in Forced Induction. Read the RB25 dyno thread.
  21. It now works, IIRC it started after I broke the tags in my sig, get rid of the broken tags, and its fixed... Thanks Ash.
  22. Pulling fuses would be the way to go, a lean out and death of motor is better than an accident IMO. Unless it is an engine bay fuse.
  23. at 80km/h power steering does fk all... i spoke to an ex ford mechanic, tapping brakes wouldn't of stopped the cruise control is this situation, couldn't of put that model auto in neutral, but he could of decreased the speed of the cruise control then stomped on the brake and applied the handbrake...
  24. What motor? Assuming RB26?
