  1. I dont run shims, I don't get squeaks, I run decent compounds.
  2. Which compound are they for starters? What did you do to bed them in? Have they seen a decent amount of heat yet?
  3. yeah i had the heat and bend done today. Have now over an INCH of clearance ABOVE legal EVERYWHERE under my car.(so closer to 140mm ground clearance pretty much everywhere) Prior to this one flange was 5mm below legal. http://www.themufflerman.com.au/
  4. ATP in chady Rotormaster. or send it to GCG.
  5. As you should, its illegal.
  6. Look for the guy kicking a broken 32
  7. Autronic SMC is 1800ish from memory, plus tune would be in the haltech ballpark. link/vipec is another option, they make a skyline plug in unit, I would take that over a PFC. Factor in a MAP sensor based ECU is saving you money on a Z32 MAF, this 300$ can be used on the ECU, or pocketed. Any ECU is only as good as the tune, cant blame the nistune for the motor death.
  8. 100mm within 1m of each axle from memory, exact rules are on vicroads website. I am aiming for a bit over on the exhaust, as it all clears, but one flange fouls by 5mm, rest of the car has 130mm+ clearance.
  9. good. Saves me driving up there and slapping you. I sold my 1600. I miss it. 32 is good, and will only get better, but i had a massive attachment to my 1600.
  10. I should be there. Gotta atleast make one day this year. I wonder if i can make it all the way to the venue before breaking something this time?
  11. Winton Fun day Dec 13th is $30, not a proper timed day though. Other option is winton open practise every friday. http://www.wintonmotorraceway.com.au/home/...4&Itemid=51
  12. I am seeing if I can tuck mine up a further inch, if not will look at going over the driveshafts. booked in for 8am tomorrow.
  13. me+1
  14. How far is yours from mine?(kooyong and toorak) between eel, oysters and sashimi, i will easy do 70ish i recon.
  15. Hey all. My car needs to be 1cm higher at the diff flange. So I figured instead of just raising the car(bandaid), I would get the entire exhaust tucked up a bit higher(hangs low ATM). Noise is legal, everything else on the car is. Can anyone recommend a local shop? Needs the work done in the next day or two. Anywhere in the east within reason, but the closer the better obviously. Someone recommended these guys ages ago, are they any good? Cheers, Ryan.
  16. Has anyone run one of the MidnightMods kits? http://www.midnightmods.com.au/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=25
  17. I found they took a decent drive to become a decent tyre... www.option1garage.com.au isn't that the 235/45/17 price?
  18. Personally I prefer Fuchs 10w30 (you will find it at bursons) and I use Ryco or genuine filters. You could run 10w40 if your car is ~150k km+ or sees track time. daily driven and not thrashed change at 10k km, otherwise 5k km. If you do more long drives than short you can do the longer interval, if all short drives the shorter is better. I change at 5k km as cheap insurance.
  19. toe is adjustable from factory. not sure what else. If outter edges were worn on the track, good chance the tyres were rolling on to the outside, run some neg camber, will help this issue and improve handling. Also some +ive castor. Swaybars will help reduce the bodyroll, adjustable helps tune the handing.
  20. crushed i missed it, the upside? looks like the stagea is sold...

    Mt Buller - Wrap Up

    VLC should play everything...
  22. So much for equal opportunitys and all that. unless your mrs drives your car too I will try and make it down to have a look, but the stagea is getting looked at, i am helping a mate move and the 32 isnt show worthy, so I will not be entering either car. Stagea is nice and clean but hardly show worthly. Want to see your GTR anyway Chris... btw PEARL JAM WAS AWESOME. that is all BTW, Ash, will someone have spare SAU stickers for members to purchase on the morning to have all the cars in the SnS wearing one, making the club a bit more visible?(kinda hard to miss an SAU sticker on every car you look at )
  23. 235/45/17 on a 17x9 32 GTST, I have found them better the more i put in them, took them out at 34 cold, rubbish, 36 cold, better, 38cold, seems to be about right.
  24. Tyre Power hawthorn(5mins from me) has them in stock.... they are also a rays dealer haha.
