When RE001's are a mid priced tyre, last 30-40k km, and grip fantastically wet and dry, I don't know why you would put shitty 595's on it when tyre's are the only thing keeping your car to the road, irrelevant as to whether you use them to their potential- emergency braking is never planned! You would think someone who owns a GTR wouldn't be scared to spend an extra couple of hundred for better rubber. That statement isn't accurate. Personally I would put a fresh RB26 with 2860-9's in your car, and sell your existing motor or head. -Response(you are already talking about twins) -Future support for more power -WIll be a near standard setup, so good if you don't want police issues(do you plan on going to interstate tracks?) -Most shops know how to build a solid RB26, and the aftermarket world is full of parts. You COULD build a 2.8 RB26 with 2860-5's, but traction could be an issue... What is your budget for wheels/tyres/brakes/suspension? Check the class regs of which every class you want to race in before you build.

In the gc8's there is a combo you hold down to bypass it, how else would dealers move the cars? I assume that is still in place, and hence they are no harder than another vehicle of you know the code.

Flat spot is the tune. Cool packs break down. Of you can get new OEM cheap, do it now, has to be done at somepoint and means you aren't risking a tuning session. Pumps: nismo or bosch Cat: got a highflow item? Ebc: yes, gizmo are good value. Air filter: new highflow is $50, check yours. O2 sensor? Has it been replaced? Dunno if your tuner will touch closed loop anyway.
