  1. 235/45/17 also happens to be the cheapest size for most performance tyres I found when i did the ring around recently... for a street car I highly recommend Bridgestone RE001's, or Kumho KU36 from option1garage.com.au if on a tight budget.
  2. aslong as they cut around where the rust was(yes cut out some good metal too) then weld in some new metal, it will be fine... how do you think all those classics get restored?
  3. Putting it on a truck is a much better idea than driving it.

    Stagea Advice

I don't give a shit whether you buy mine or not, but have a look at it as a template for mods They need the standard RB 100k service upon purchase, they NEED good pads, tyres, shocks and alignment bushes, the springs and swaybars are an optional mods, but the others are a maintenance item. Radiator reco is a peice of mind thing. Full exhaust saves fuel and makes it go better, same with FMIC. Will add more after dinner. If you are interested in making an offer on mine, feel free, if you have stagea questions, I will answer them whether you are interested in mine or not, here or in the stagea section. -Ryan
  5. Thats what I thought too... and some pad compounds are a lot easier to recover from lockups than others.
  6. I would of thought cold semi's would grip less than RE001's? or have they been heat-f**ked? Mine are 40k km old and have been through many a heat cycle in the hills(hot to touch after a drive), Then again, I have never had semi's(havent driven on the KU36's yet) What pads/rotors/fluid are you running? I find some pads alot harder than others to recover from a lock-up...
  7. You should see Calder Paul, keep the updates coming!
  8. Since selling my 1600 18months ago and buying the skyline 2months ago, I have wondered whether it would be suitable for dirt work(datto was only a cage away but my situation made me sell it)... I knew the S13 would be this generations P510, But too me it makes more sense to try and use the R32- Wishbone front end, bigger brakes etc, and if you arent running for points(which from the sound of things in an R32 GTST you WONT be!), IF the 20 ever dies could put a 25 in as we all know torque is king That said, a bloody R31 could be THE cheapest way into rallying... 3L torque, RWD etc, but lack of aftermarket parts could be an issue. The bulk of hollow aftermarket arms would be useless IMO. But it isn't hard to get good stuff made up if you know where too go... I had billet LCA's in my 1600
  9. Did you see Roman's tyres? flatspotted snow tyres on the front, and half decent rubber on the rear :S My aim is too have a TPS and brake pads by then... pads are yet to be ordered, TPS, well the wrong one was sent weeks ago, and the replacement was due down last week... So maybe by november, hopefully this year.(This is not my mechanics fault, solely the parts supplier who won't refund us, only replace)
  10. Please have new tyres by then
