  1. do you need cams licence or can you just get an AAASA or what ever it is on the day?
  2. but entries open in around 10days, do all the places get filled normally?
  3. Ash, i am willing to lend a hand in any way i can with admin type shit(keeping track of members etc)... was planning on signing up tomorrow anyway(tomorrow is payday!) Guess this means membership wont be processed before DECA? -Ryan
  4. Stewy, that was my plan with the tie rods, but things are tight til the stagea sells, will look for some Cusco upper arms and strut braces as funds free up. What height is recommended for handling and no bump steer without looking too ridiculous?
  5. access autoworks, trade place vermont. BRAND NEW 290 +30 for the plug see their sponser page
  6. look for a SPAL thermo fan, they are f**ken thin.
  7. This is where my car is starting, with the aim being to make to most of what I have until I hit the limits of it. Suspension: Tein Mono-Flex Suspension 8kg/mm front 6kg/mm rear Kazama Front Castor Rods Whiteline Hicas Lock with modified Power Steering pump Cusco Rear Camber arms Cusco Mechanical LSD (2way) Cusco Safety21 7Point rollcage Power steering removed. Wheels: R33 GTR I know i am running coil-overs which is something i normally am against but- 1) they are fairly new, came with the car. 2) they are atleast mono-tube. So i guess the next step is front camber upper arms(suggestions welcome, noltec? whiteline?), set the subframe angle for grip, get it to a more bump steer friendly ride height(suggestions?) and order some Kumho Ku36 215/45/17 front 235/45/17 rear from http://www.option1garage.com.au/NewTyres.htm Then align it. Possibly get some strut braces if they fit in the budget, JJR make some for $99 but was avoiding chinese on this car. My deadline is DECA August 15th.
  8. Well, Most sections of this forum have a sticky thread linking to a list of the basic mods to do, A reference of where to start to get the basics covered when looking to get the car set-up for increased performance. What i am proposing is all experiences/information is put into this thread, and I will edit and combine(and test) info and put it into this post, which can be added to an FAQ sticky, for future reference. We see often the same questions being asked, so why not have someone to find the answer besides just the "do a search" response. A similar thread for each car could be beneficial. Hopefully Nisskid replys, as his input is normally good ! Obviously start here if you are new to shock absorbers so we don't have to explain why NOT to buy cheap coilovers http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sh...01-t114718.html This has some great stickys, and hopefully this will end up there: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Su...ic-t161623.html Things I would like to see: Recommended starting setup for Grip, Drift,- Including parts, heights/rates, alignments, and if it can be done in stages or not. then maybe add an option(eg, higher cost- DMS coilovers over a bilstien/eibach setup) I am new to the R32 setting up game, so this thread will save me posting a heap of questions. And I can also test things out and confirm/deny advice Thanks for reading and any input, -Ryan
  9. get some heat in to them and ~5k km;s. 5x 100-80km/h stops in quick succesion then cool them off is reccomended for bedding in. I found my pads shut up after i did that mutiple times, heated them up a couple of times and put some km's on them (RB74's)
  10. I didn't know my phone could do skids :S but it does have a speedo...
  11. friction co-efficient matters more than the temp range i was told, and a good package wont get as hot as solid rotors and shit pads
  12. tyres might be do-able if the tax return comes back in time http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=390170 164 for 235/45/17 KU36

  15. his pads are decent. i used them, i liked them for an every day pad, far superior to any bendix crap! endless SSS with good rubber(bridgestone RE001) had my forehead hitting the dash!
  16. 13,700 ono negotiable call me 0404 824 819 Ryan
  17. syndal isnt quite as safe as mount waverley. mrs used to park my stagea there daily when we lived there. i would NOT park at glen waverley.
  18. i moved my shifts to be slightly off peak, and i am only on the train for 12mins... head phones and still being half a sleep make it bearable
  19. I will get that looked at... first thing i am doing when the stagea goes(or tax return comes) is tyres... BTW, Have you driven a 32 without power steering? its like a big datto
  20. westall station
  21. Stoks1 sounds like IAC valve, mine was stalling when cold and braking, got it cleaned, now no-longer does it! Prob also worth checking the TPS setting.
  22. correct! i am willing to gamble my transfer case on this also.( i have not done either yet, but am willing too remove the shaft to test this theory)
