  1. Mate, GREAT work... wish i had the motivation to make one for mine, my sub is out of the car as the box is a bitch haha
  2. nice buy! still got the stag?
  3. yup i do
  4. Thanks Robert, 360/350 could be made, i too am iffy on going lower, but everyone says my car looks too high! The rear end needs to be slightly stiffer on mine, and the front needs to be a fair bit stiffer too, then the valving to match, the front end feels under-sprung, especially when pitching/rolling through the hills. The rates i stated are pretty much the same as the eibachs many are using.
  5. Performance Superlites are a similar style...
  6. Hey all Can anyone tell me the standard ride height(Centre of Wheel to Guard Measurement in MM front and rear)? Need the height of a standard RSFour for reference when looking into custom springs... Also, if i organise a group-buy of springs to bring you too around 345MM front and rear, 6-7KG front, 5-6kg rear, does this sound about right? I am currently at 365MM front/rear, and it looks that bit too high, but too much lower would be impossible to drive every day in my area... These springs would be a direct drop in for stock shocks, or aftermarket with a fixed springs perch(or bilsteins etc), allowing you to lower your car as with any other off the shelf lowering springs. The Whiteline springs are too soft for my liking, and this will be an alternative to going the "coilover" style spring perchs so you can get eibach springs, so that is 1k there... So trying to do the similar thing for not much more than Tein/Whiteline springs. Also, the measurement front the centre of the eye to the base of the strut top of a standard strut front/rear would come in handy, also centre of mounting eye -> top of the spring perch. Cheers, Ryan Brand Rate % Increase Standard: 2.9/3.1 165/175 Whiteline/Tein: 3.1/3.8 6.8% 22% Nismo: 3.8/4.4 31% 42% Planned: 6/5 100% 85% Once springs are sorted I will be getting my bilsteins valved to suit, and will post the recommended specs for those ordering bilteins etc, so as they can specify the valving to suit the springs pre-delivery.
  7. i have springs in melb... interested in custom coils if you can get them to put the stock dimensions on record... who are you looking at using? what do they charge? I am waiting on a reply from a local mob as to what they charge for a custom set...
  8. the guy in my sig does powdercoating...
  9. f**k washing cars, this one is pretty much my twin, but mine is brown atm The guard damage looks to be from the liner being pulled out to get at the SMIC??? Makes me want 33GTR rims more! stockies are so yuk.
  10. the turbo IS the back pressure... if you think they need back press so bad how come they run so much better with just a dumppipe, nothing else? NA car= dont go too big, turbo= less restrictive the better i have two oval mufflers on a full 3" system, legal noise, flowy, bum dyno noticed it,
  11. What EBC is it? You can normally find a manual on the net.
  12. Thats about right, NEO's are meant to be better than the older varient. Remeber people, slightly higher tyre pressures helps a lot with fwy driving, i run 40psi most of the time in 225/50/16 RE001's, have fmic, full exhaust(with cat), and get 400 around town, and over 500 from 3/4 a tank on the fwy
  13. Do some searching, at higher levels of gas flow most splits have proven to be a restriction, and also a large number of wastegate flaps foul on the seperaters.... i would reccomend saving changing at some point, and getting a bellmouth, you could probably sell your HPI front pipe for the price of a JJR stainless bellmouth
  14. Welcome Paul. When you have a second spare, Please fill out your location(state/city) in your profile. Happy motoring, Ryan.
  15. keep boost too .70bar/10psi on a standard turbo. Being a series 2 a Nistune is an option, anywhere from 500-1000 fitted and tuned is reasonable. They allow full control of the factory ECU, and unless you pull it apart, is undetectable I personally would jump at this option if a local reputable tuner offers this option. You retain the factory protection maps, which can be tweaked, but running hot/cold etc can change the map, cold start is as factory etc. Where is "porties south"? Best to put in an easily recognized location for people to recommend a tuner. Tell them you want the map safe/reliable, and hopefully it wont go bang If on the standard ECU you are upping the boost and it is running like a pig, turn down the boost 1PSI at a time until the ECU return to normal mapping, Search R & R or "Rich and Retard" for more info. Oh, and don't bother with a "Pipercross" Panel, SK used to recommend them as he sold them(through Jamex), but they are an oiled panel and therefore not recommended for AFM equipped cars, I use an Apex'i panel, but a 3a or any cheapy dry element panel filter is fine. K&N are also oilled FYI
  16. LOL RACV Total Care would solve that issue...
