I tried to put new springs in my car the other day and couldn't cause the bolts wouldn't come off. What is the best way to get bolts off?

I need to replace a front wheel bearing. What are the costs? Are there different types of fron bearings or are they all just the same quality?

yeah i was with michael (wld33). a friend has got a uhf so i'm going to use that for the moment and then at same stage get a bigger one and a scanner too. do you guys always use the same channel or does it change every week?

I have just taken the pads out to check them and they seemed fine. I put them back in and went for a spin....the noise had gone. Could it be possible that the brakes weren't releasing all the way or something like that? If this could be the problem why is it fine now after I took the pads out and put them back in?

how do you lock up a diff? and then how can it be unlocked

that' the problem.....i don't know. depending on the cost I might do the font and rear at different times. At this stage I would $1000 but I don't know what that would get me.

At this stage I don't know much about this topic so I need all the help I can get. What options do I have as far as upgrading the rotors, callipers, pads etc. I have 18" wheels so I wouldn't mind getting bigger rotors that fill out the space. If I do this can I use the current callipers or should I upgrade the callipers too? I don't have a budget on this yet but I don't want it to cost an arm and a leg. What brands should I look at? Does anybody have any of these items for sale at the moment? I will worry about pads after I choose what I'm doing with rotors and callipers. Cheers;)

When driving slowly I can hear a rubbing noise from the rear brakes (i think rear). Is this normal or does it mean the brake pads are worn out? It's not the same noise normally heard from the pad wear indicator either. Also...what's involved when the rotors are machined? what does this actually do? Thanks;)

i'll put them on and see how they goe. i eventually want to get some coilovers so these should keep me happy for a while.

i'm just wondering how much if at all it will lower my car. i was looking at the pic that prank posted, my car's height is the same as his, my car even has the same 18" DTM wheels on it. i'm not expecting the springs to dump the car to the ground but I am after a bit of a dump. is this going to happen?
