  6. Yes thanks Emre, the problem is getting that oil in Oz - real tough ! Getrags apparently use differenet oil than other GTR boxes - ATF and major probs happen with syncros if wrong oil is used ..... anyone ??

  11. 100% agreed, I am a big fan of stiff suspension, however if youre not dont avoid coilovers because theyre simply not made to be hard.
  12. TurboPete aka "Big Pete" is a friend of mine who is very excited about having bought his first GTR, he joined the forum recently but tells me he has been bared from posting and he cant work out why. Can anything be done about this ? Jeremy

With caution in mind (and not wanting to start a debate/argument) I have to say that all coilover packages arent necesarily hard and they are not designed to be hard, they are designed with ease of height adjustment in mind. If you choose spring rates carefully and have other suspension supports like sway bars etc in place you can acheive good handling with a reasonably comfrotable ride.
  14. The HR are height but not damper adjustable so the rigidity is not variable. HA is basically the HR with damper adjustment added.

  16. Form what I know you would want the damper at the softer end of the range but not the softest - around 3-4 clicks from softest setting. As for height I like my cars low for cosmetic reasons, if you PM someone like sydneykid he will give you some good advice.
  17. I, like my old buddy Merls, have Teins on my R33 GTR. I actually have Ohlins on my R34 both height and damper adjustable BUT I actually prefer the teins and I have just received a brand new set of Tein coilovers for the R34 GTR which I am replacing the Ohlins with, they are that good. Having said that my Teins are HA's which are quiet a but stiffer than the super street so if your looking for a good street ride then I think you are going for the right option. Also if you check the tein site (tein.co.jp) you will find the spring rates for all tein models.
  18. I have to say I recently installed EBC in both GTRs and I cant describe how much of a difference it made in both cars. I (by chance) installed HKS EVC in my R33 and Greddy Profec B II in my R34. Ide recomend the HKS EBC having tried both.

  20. Do mechanical lsd's take oil/diff additive, apparently this quietens them down alot

  23. You guessed 3 possible turbos, one set of which was twin low mounts: "A bit hard to say with no peak power figure, but I have my money on a single turbo. Perhaps a Trust T67 or HKS T04/GT3040.... Hmmm.... or could they be elusive AX53B60 turbos?" How that makes you greater than everyone else is interesting.
