Is 320kw for a unopened Rb25 Neo to much ?
jay-rod replied to ruinned's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Had ~320kw for about 2 years hard abuse Now have ~380kw , with ARP studs. Unopened Neo Only thing i have broken is gearboxes over the years. -
Yeh was great having a town with 85 Everyone knew that albany had 85 in prep for racewars. ( maybe the sponsorship from united helped make that possible ? ) But i think i get about ~300-350 on normal driving in perth.

My 25det neo with ~380 kw to wheel Driving from perth to albany, i got about 450 km to a tank, on the light, maybe could have squeezed another 10 or so ks out of it. No narrowband or wideband hooked into ecu/tune. I think thats pretty good haha.

I have not got the car back yet, so i didnt ask about the iat's. Was going to do some pressure drop testing after racewars.

Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results
jay-rod replied to Nacho Vidal's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
"D1 stable" exhaust manifold, essentially a "cheap" steam pipe manifold from what i can tell, 50 mm turbosmart wastegate off the manifold Madcat intake manifold, essentially a high quality china manifold ( it may even be made in aus ) ( really really good welds ) China spec intercooler,( just jap cooling pro i think ) but with high quality stainless pipe work done.( i will be testing pressure drop next month ) ( manifolds would not be making any more power than stock ones, if anything they hurt response.) ( i had 444 hp with stock manifolds with a atr43ss2 ) -
So got this, not as much as i hoped, but im sure there is some way to tweak it a little Have a few ideas

Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results

ATR45SAT BB Walbro 460 1000cc E85 ~22 psi peak m2000 adaptronic Unopened neo engine -
Could the stock damper in a 34 be ok to keep then? Because the 34 has an extra damper that the non neos dont have.

Will be moving to a new ATR45SAT Ball Bearing soon. Will put results up here once dynoed. Below is what im going from -> to. ATR43SS2+ gate off housing - > ATR45SAT BB Stock ExhaustMani - > D2 Stable High Mount + Gate of mani 44mm Tial Gate - > 50mm Turbosmart Gate Stock Plenum - > Custom FFP + Sard Fuel Reg Single 460 Walbro - > Probably Surge tank Nistune ECU - > Adaptronic ECU +Wideband/Airtemp sensor Z32 AFM - > MAP inside adaptronic E85 - > Still E85 Stock Head - > Only doing ARP headbolts And a bunch of other random stuff Was ~450 hp at the rears - > Hoping for + 550 hp at the rears Current full boost is around 3800 @ 20-21 psi Im hoping for similar response, looks like it will be close.

Has engine protection ever actually "protected" a engine from failure though? Referring to adaptronic/haltech and such. My thoughts would be....it would be to late anyway...maybe it could stop "major" damage but at that point...you should know already lol I guess it depends on the point of "failure" Fyi, im at about 440hp atw with z32 afm Pretty sure it can do over 500hp with a correct afm

Hey Stao What can you do to my old ATR43G2.5 -> Which was sent back to become a now SS2 a year or so ago. if u remember. Is it worth sending back for some loving? Im making a healthy 300+rwkw at the moment. Can you get that close to your atr45? or is the housing to small for that? Want some extra juice for Racewars next year
-
Yo Stao I have your ~2010 model atr43g3, which you high flowed into a ss2 around 2013. Thats on my 34 at the moment ( your new ss2 sounds to good to pass up, i want it now lol ) Now onto my question, i have got a patrol that is getting a rb25 transplant. Obviously i want more power in it so it can actually lug around the 3 tons, but i think the SS2 or possibly even the highflow op6 will be to laggy for what i need. I was wondering if you have anything that could get boost on early, earlier the better, but still make some decent power. Close to 2500-3000 rpm is what im hoping for .
