  1. S15 chassis between strut towers is wider.
  2. Only possible reason i can see for dual stage is launch controll at a drag strip to minimize tyre spin. Scrap the idea and Get it tuned for Maximum boost throughout the rev range /
  3. Do it! I would do alot of planning before buying anything though, that way if you find something that will screw you over. Read over the Vq thread on his conversion, will give you alot of info and his issues. You will most likely need to fabricate new exhaust manifolds,.
  4. Ive heard of horror stories with rb25/30s And personally know someone that has had....problems...... That said, if its built properly it should be fine Upto choice really, if he wants it just for tourqe...then yes...bad idea. But if he wants it to be different and unique, i say go for it!
  5. Get a graph up here. Might help the guys that know alot more about it.
  6. Maybe he wants to be different? I doubt he can keep awd with a conversion like this anyway> RB30s arnt the most ...realiable... You would have to put alot of trust in the builder.
  7. What are you using as a measurement of lag? The Tacho? Or the dyno reading?
  8. Then dont use it, but if you have a neo engine with neo cams, why the hell wouldnt you? No negatives, only positives??? But yes every 3076 i see has full boost by ~4300 on a rb25 Gate could be causing slow boost, do you have a dyno graph with correct scaling? Would help out most people here diagnoses issues
  9. Getting VCT working should be a priority, unless you don't have stock cams? I believe it will give you about 200rpm more response compared to off. I would be PM Stao from hypergear and see if he will give you some tips. The .62 housing will prob get you about another 500 rpm response. Is it running internal gate? Try pre loading the actuator Edit, Oh yeh, a china spec 3076 will do this Edit again 340 kw with a gt3076 and only 17 psi? That doesnt seem right? are you on E85?
  10. If he has the money, that should not be a hurdle. There will be alot of fabrication, and im sure he knows this, obviously its not a simple drop in, and getting rid of awd most likely needs to be done. Cant put a man down for having a dream, hell if he can do it, id be very impressed and jealous.
  11. I said a little...lol. First thing he should do is get the tape measure out... The vq35 is actually fairly similar. http://www.injectedperformance.com/blog/nissan-350z/vr38-vq35hr-side-by-side-comparison/
  12. Someones done it with s15, clearance issues with the bonnet though. ( custom bonnet) Your main problem is clearance between struts. The vr is a very wide engine. vq conversions might help a little http://www.build-threads.com/build-threads/vq35hr-r32-skyline/ http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=346234
  13. Goto bunnings, get some pvc end caps, put a hole in it and hook up a air compressor. Pump it upto ~25 psi.
  14. How u like the cruise last night? Saw your car on the first meet, but didn't see you around it.
  15. WHOLY SHITWhere did that hail come fromBe glad i have grease lightiing reflexes Jake SmithMove ur car undercover

  18. http://www.wascc.com.au/Uploads/pdf/2015%20ALL%20EVENTS%20b.pdf The March 5th, this Thursday, 9am to 4pm Just needs cams license, If you never been to a tuning day, its very relaxed, and you go out when road cars are called. No pressure, just a all day testing of your car, i believe its 30 minute sessions ( i forget ) and you get about 5 or so. You can go out for 1 lap, comin, change stuff, then go straight back out again, one of the easiest track days you can goto. No timing gear, so use ur phone.
  19. Stao What Pressure would the SS2 stop seeing benefits on e85?
  20. I changed mine in the car Pretty easy because the actual mounting bracket can be fully taken off. Just engine crane the engine up slightly and will be good to go
  21. Me and a few other 33s 34s will be at Tuning day on Thurs 5th you going to that? Another mate just got his 34 rb30 back after a long time, first track time for ages.
