Well i will throw that out of my head then, not sure why i thought otherwise. I assumed the short period was not long enough to cause that on the rings. More so for a fresh engine with "dry" internals to get the break in oil to get to those locations it wouldn't normally be on a first topup.

Interesting, i mean ~2500 with no load by the way, not moving. If you were to have a to rich fuel map, that would cause wash in on the cylinder walls correct? And that would be easy mistake to do with 85 ?
-
Very First start always run at a constant ~2500 for about 15 minutes as to get the oil "everywhere" so to speak. Dump the oil, put new in. Just drive it normally for around like you say 500km, normally meaning every day driving. Essentially the break in process is to prove that no tolerances are incorrect in theory a proper engine rebuild should need 0 break in time and should be able to be run 100% after first start after 2500 idle process. But nothing is perfect in this world. That said, im not sure about the e85 affecting this process, and im not sure there is enough evidence out in the world to convince anyone aswell.

Dodgy relay? If you can make the sound when the cars off im sure you can pinpoint where its comming from

If you already have a nistune i would keep it untill you have limitations.

Yeh ive seen plenty of Rb30 patrols running nistunes

i replaced 3 turbos on my WRX, found the issue to be a peice of rubber stuck in the oil feed line.... Causing a restriction...causing starvation..

My car did sit around for about 3 months when i did the transplant to another shell with a different tank that hadnt had e85 in it before. So i think it was a combination 1. Car sitting around for longer than normal 2. New tank hadn't run e85 before and was sitting around even longer than 3 months. 3. I dont run filters on my EV14s

Rb25Det Running Badly All Of A Sudden - Cas?
jay-rod replied to ccpl's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also FYI I had the exact same issues on my 34. 34s ingiter is built into the coilpacks. My issue was related to my injectors being blocked from E85 when i change my engine with a different fuel tank, same symptons as you. -
Under Bonnet Temperatures Causing Heat Soak
jay-rod replied to edizio's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wrapping my intercooler piping helped my heat soak alot on the track, -
Related, but not. Just an fyi. I moved my engine to another shell. I run e85, had massive problems getting the engine running correctly. Got the injectors checked/cleaned the other day. 2 were completely blocked with the rest being partially blocked. Have not put it back together to test but im pretty sure thats the problem. If anyone has major missfire over all cylinders and run 85, injectors are probably blocked, its not your turbo

Keep stock manifold, get Hypergear, have fun with 300kw

Nice result I would expect that from mine when i get a retune @ 20 psi. Pretty much exact same mods as you. Im getting ~264kw @ 16 psi at the moment.

I want 18x9.5 inch all round, rears im fine with +38 but for the fronts its hard to find out exactly what offset i would need. I would prefer no gaurd roll back can do if scraping. Would +35 front be ok?

I would, but i recently purchased a r34 shell i will be transplanting my running gear into. So i will be out of action for a few weeks. And im running high temp penrite "racing" fluid. They do squeal first time i put them on, but after a while they are not to bad. -

Im not exactly sure what causes it, but it most likely is related to heat. And you having those ducts will certainly help. They are not a bad pad, just once you go past there limit, dont expect to stay out on the track unless you rest them.
