240z boy

hi, i am fairly new to the force introduction and i got a turbo from a friend who was going to put it on a vw gli. well the turbo i have is a t3v band? i have no clue on the specs although he said he had bought it for 1500. us and i would like to know so that i can put it on my z or if not i will sell it. hope fully you guys can help me out???? also its brand new no shaft play, his car caught on fire before he could install it.
