Car Jerking At Wot After Exhaust Upgrade?
RBC33 replied to tripsteady's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
as well as all the unburnt fue hes just dumping into the exhaust, and if hes still got a cat its got to deal with trying to burn it all. End of the day i wouldnt be doing anything to cause the engine to missfire till the problems rectified, just to be safe -
Car Jerking At Wot After Exhaust Upgrade?
RBC33 replied to tripsteady's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
In short, your cars misfiring. If its only doin it at WOT I'd avoid giving it a bootfull till you've fixed the problem. Basically your not combusting what's in the chamber and it gets dumped into your exhaust. You could try gapping your plugs, have you done as suggested above and pulled your plug and checked if its in decent condition? -
Need Help! R33 Gts-T Overheating Somewhere!
RBC33 replied to R33 Johnson's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Does it sounds like its missing? If you got water down in between your coil packs and spark plug it might cause it to not run right Washed my Hondas bay one day and had the same problem, (it had a distributor and leads but same thing) car sounded like a wrx and barely drove as it wasn't firing properly. -
What can you fit on the front without major guard work. I'm talking like a decet rolling, gtr offset like x9 +17? Or do you need a little pulling to the front guards to fit them
-
Fuuuuuuuuuu, 34gtr seats are awesome. So many quality parts
-
I didn't even realize gtr's came in 4 doors. As annoying as that guys rambling was, it does look to be pristine. Looks like it almost rolled off the factory floor

I think i had something similar to that somewhere. You pump it in and it seals the tyre up so you can drive at 60kms/h or so to get you out of trouble. Never thought of using it to seal up a rim though, thats a pretty good idea As for a club s lip thats another thing i've trolled YJP for, never seen one in the few months i was looking around on it, and i was checking it every 2nd day

So update not much has happened apart from some photos since my last post but errbody loves photos. This is how it sits basically after what i did, except today put my rad in, i machined up some hard plastic from work to hold the pins on the bottom of the rad better and made the plastic fit the hole snug to remove the slop, also spaced it up a bit as it sat too low for my liking. Heres the rear seats Ian (RB25DETC33) hooked me up with for free to replace the horrid cream cord vinyl things that are in their at the moment, and also a side on shot of my new dump pipe courtesy of nathan at fabulous fabrications More purdy pics of it And then the reason why the car has gotten nowhere, Been too farkin hot up here, so decided to goall ghetto apprentice and buy a blow up pool so i can survive summer lol Hopefully make up some cooler mounts for it this weekend and remount the cooler, so then nathan from fabulous fab can come make my cooler piping and 4" intake pipe asap and i can get this thing going. Also, i dont function properly without having a list of shit to do so heres whats left Cooler and Intake pipes Mount Intercooler Tighten steering column bolts Gearbox boot/seal, buy gear stick boot and gearknob Swaybar nut and washer to go with it (previous owner was a tard -___-' ) Coilover nut (thats my bad) Port out stock manifold with air grinder, bolt exhaust side together with gaskets and dump pipe Wiper motor back on, wiper cowel and wipers back on Nismo thermostat in and hoses on Purple Timing cover and rocker covers on Fluids and bleed everything Work out some sort of handbrake cables Then rewire Tune Replace windscreen Rego

Yah 33gtrs are hot on everything but 33gtrs lol. On a side note, there's a white supra near my work rocking 34gtrs and it looks really good
-
yeah i agree on 33 gtrs, they look great on laurels, as would 34 gtrs. As for sets of larger ssr mesh, i used to look alot on Yahoo JP, in 5 stud its so hard to find decent ssr mesh in good sizes, i think i found one pair of 16 x 9's +18 mint condition, had jesse streeter bid on them for me, won the auction, then the seller removed the highest bid (mine through jesse) and i missed out on them. Was devastated. Apart from that most are shitty widths and offsets, and i think i've only seen one half decent pair in 17s
-
I think they usually tuck it up over the outside of the inner guard if that makes sense sorta like this, (excuse the huge size and ignore the arrown and circled section its just a googled image to give you the kist of where to relocate it )

As Andrew r said, this is really tidy by the looks of the pics, I wish mine was that clean As for rims, personally I think nt03s or rpf01s may look awkward on it, dunno why, maybe it's te shape of them but IMO they belong on more sports looking cars. My ideal setup for wheels is what you have right now I think ssr mesh on c33s are porn! It just needs a little more low and I definitely think it pull them off really well.

Thanks man, i'm slowly slogging on with it, had my dad come up for a week from Melbourne for my engagement party so got some things done with his help, fitted up my new timing belt to replace my cut one, put on my adjustable exhaust cam gear while we were at it, then went to fit my top feed 550cc sards and ran into trouble, fuel rail doent line up with stock fuel rail holes, i messaged ARTZ about it and he said greddy/freggy plenums have same mount points so the railmust be mean for a 20 or 26 as it came off an rb r32. Thought it was a 25 but maybe not. Also had fabulous fabrications come round and fab me up a custom split dump which turned out awesome, looks schmick and tucks right along the firewall/underbody. I'll get pics of where the car at now and photos of the dump up soon and hopefully a list of shit left to do/things i need to get to complete
-
i think 15s/16s look better on older cars, and generally should be railed to make it work on a large bodied car and oil cooler defintely doesnt suit
-
R32 is r32 skyline S13 is s13 Silvia Both those cars use their own racks?
-
On sent regarding rear seats

So today probably should of got some stuff done but I hate this car more everytime I take the car cover off. Put my (2nd one now) padded nardi on and mocked up the mounting for the new intercooler. Also have fabulous fabrications coming round end of the week to make me my new dump. Going all out and getting it made as a split dump, as they make more power and torque supposedly. So went an picked up a divided t3 5 bolt flange for him. Hopefully see alot of shit done in the next few week.My dads coming up from Melbourne for a week so we'll fit my new timing belt up properly (as im not quite confident as my last was cut ad timing could be out) and install my SARD 550cc's and the top mount fuel rail.

S14 fits?? And you could get them without the Lengthy wait as there are a few ultra racing distributors in australia

Wtb Alot Of Stuff!
RBC33 replied to Jswljones's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
man i find heaps of stuff on trademe.nz but apparently people have had problems with not getting their items? idk i just did a google and read a few horrer stories -
battery come with the battery box by any chance. Pushing my luck here but thought i'd ask?
-
Yeah I know dude I was suss on it and I still am. End of the day what can I do... I've stewed and stewed on it, nothing I can do. Moved the car on to my place and cut the ties with the dude. But yeah 3076r, probs make more peak power than the td05? Still haven't driven this bad boy yet, so I'm pretty keen on it. Hopefully getting dump done soon, and intercooler piping. Gotta tee it up with the local fab guys
-
Back on topic of the laurel now, heres some of the stuff i've collected, powdercoated my intercooler black for stealth and shit and mocking up the turbo on the mani so i know i can easily get it in place to get my dump/cooler piping done
-
Dans where its at haha Yeah its pretty well right, gotta get a new dump made to suit new turbo, get cooler piping done again too. And redo timing belt as that was fubar'd/cut in the shitstorm. Then its back to where it nearly was, pretty much replaced everything else now. Gonna run stock cast manifold with a 3076R, internal gate for a bit less hassle from the popo. Eg civics are the bomb, i always wanted a honda after hearing a DC2 type r integra come screaming past when i was around 15. Heard the vtec crossover and just went, yep i'm getting a honda lol. Went from a stock as a rock Eg Si (twin cam non vtec 1.6L) to having Ek9 Type R B16b, Hytech headers and Reinhard catback (122.8db at a 5.5k freerev louder on high cam) big intake pipe, JIC coilovers, dc2r front and rear swaybars, dc2r 4 x 114.3 hub swap with 262mm twin pot brakes, stripped everything, all sound deadening, firewall matting, a/c, p/s, heater boxes. And yeah i've shamed many a car in the twisties, back when i had the stock twin cam and king springs all round with a dc2r rear sway bar, i kept up with a stock xr6t and golf gti through the local mountains. Just awesome little pocket rockets, i miss driving mine This video done on private road of course find another way home pizza boy ect
