  1. This is frustrating. To all you (probably well intentioned) sheep out there advising him to make a complaint or take it further, if you had more of the facts you would dare him to, then sit back and laugh as you watch the train-wreck unfold before your eyes... But by all means, keep riding that "Police are bastards" bandwagon if it makes you feel better. The gaols are full of "innocent' people. Just ask em all... Think I'll leave this thread before the keyboard warrior lynch mob tells me to piss off out of it.
  2. A rant, yes. A cry? You gotta be kidding me... A member for 2 days and your third post is this gem. Fool.
  3. All, Just a quick and simple tip if selling your car. It may prevent crooks from stealing it (as you are no longer a soft target), and will definitely assist SAPol with follow-up if it is stolen. Request EVERY person who inspects your car for their driver's licence, check it and record the number. Inform them when you arrange a meeting place that you require this (also covers your arse (a little) in an accident). Chances are, they will not steal it after you have done this, and if they do, you have something tangible for Police to follow-up. Unless your car is stolen in a public place where there may be footage, there is pretty much nothing that can be done other than a doorknock if stolen from a residential area until the Police either chase it when located, or find it burnt out somewhere. Also, NEVER let interested parties come to your house. Meet them at the nearest shopping centre car park. That being said, sorry to hear about your car. Out.
  4. Internal Affairs? So you want to be a rat? You will never make it to the Feds with your attitude. They do monitor these forums you know... Reeks of "I'm an innocent victim, poor me" syndrome and bullshite to me. Also, to all the gaolhouse lawyers out there, when I researched the same thing (Different in the Army, as your Commonwealth (ADF) ID etc allows you to drive all over Oz) I discovered that if you are a permanent resident of SA and have been for over 3 months you are required to change your licence to SA. If they were as bad as you say, they could have defected your car without any problem. Even the dumbest can find a defect on a modified Skyline in under 20 mins... I can send you some tissues if you want... Let the flaming begin! I bet this will be a big one... PS. sinistagtst, I am amazed a fellow member of the ADF could swallow such a story hook, line and sinker...
  5. So you are in the 'Man Market" are you? This is a car forum... :laughing-smiley-014: Sorry to post shite in the seller's thread, but that was just irresistable... Free bump as compensation.
  6. And Pauly33GTS-t, that was not aimed at you.
  7. There is no quota. Police are human and it usually comes down to behaviour, and to all those who complain about being picked on, just remember prisons are full of 'innocent' people too... If you want attention, you will invariably get it, but don't complain when you get it from those you don't want it from, ie Police. To those who are genuinely victimised, I know how you feel as I have copped it plenty myself over the years however stop hiding behind your keyboards and wake up to the fact that Police deal with things the rest of us will never (and would never care to) see. If you think so poorly of them, don't call when you are getting carjacked or have your car stolen. End of rant. Let the flaming begin. PS. There is no quota. Like anything. There are productive workers and less so...
  8. What was the rough quote? Year and kms? Modifications? Location? Cheers. PS. Bad luck. Sorry for the loss.
  9. If you are serious about selling and showing the buying public some respect you will post pics... Maybe that was a bit harsh but... PS. I am interested.
  10. Thanks to all for the leads. I will be following up. If there's any more please keep em coming...
  11. I am definitely interested in one of these. Price and availability please. Cheers.
  12. Hi all. I am after a carbon fibre bootlid to fit to an R34 GTR. Before I get asked, yes I have searched, and the price of the Top Secret stuff is exhorbitant. If anyone is aware of any local manufacturers / suppliers please post. Cheers.
  13. What is the change? From memory the asking price for this car always $28K, unless the change is that the custom R34 GTT plates are no longer available. Free bump.
  14. 1. Who on the forum is selling R34 GTR airbag steering wheels? 2. If replacing an R33 airbag wheel with an R34 airbag wheel (either GTT or GTR) will the airbag still operate in the event of an accident?
  15. If only it wasn't an auto... Good luck with the sale mate.
  16. Something to consider, My old man has an 750hp street driven R32 GTR with 8 piston Brembo monoblock fronts on 375mm rotors, and 6 piston rears on 350mm rotors that are fully floating (overkill I know) and were built by an engineering company that does a lot of V8 supercar work (along with various other high level motorsport work). These brakes are considerably better than those fitted to V8 supercars (they are limited by the rules) and are similar to those run by Le Mans cars (minus the carbon rotors most of them use). Point of this post is that while they stop unbelievably with the semi-slick road legal tyres that are fitted to the car, the floating discs rattle constantly at low speeds (all speeds actually, just the sound is masked by the engine and road noise at normal speed), to the point that it sounds like the suspension is falling out of the car causing everyone in the vicinity to actually turn around and look at you. The noise (and attention) gets very annoying after a while, and can be quite disconcerting. In addition, as per my point re the tyres above, any high level brake kit will be severely limited by the tyres that are on the car. You will not get anywhere near the capability of the brakes unless you have top quality (sticky) tyres fitted. Realistically, if this enquiry was about a GTR (I forgot considering this post has turned into War and Peace), I would save your pennies and instead use top quality pads, fluid and lines, and maybe increase your rotor size the next time they are replaced while retaining the factory calipers, unless you are prepared to commit and do the whole lot properly. Hope this helps.
  17. Hi. Has this car ever been in an accident? I ask as the boot seems quite out of alignment. If not, is there another explanation? Cheers.
  18. I sent you an offer (enquiry) via PM. Am yet to receive a reply...
  19. Hi. How did the bar get a crack in it if it wasn't on a car if you don't mind my asking? Cheers.
  20. Make threats if you like but I believe I have a right to voice a concern I have regarding a vehicle that has been re-sprayed and no longer has the standard airbag... Censorship where there is no slander or libel on a public forum regarding an important point is apalling. If that deserves a warning then shame on you... Good luck with the sale.
  21. I read the article. It was Kiwi Rod MILLEN.
  22. I know you are not "Telling" him to do it, but "just get some dodgy recipts...." sounds like advice, which is what I advised against giving. A fair point I think...
  23. T88, I certainly wouldn't follow this advice as is "always_me" going to pay the fine or do the time for what is a Federal offence? I would also advise against giving such stupid advice on what is a public forum... Out.
  24. Hi. If the package has been opened and kept, report the recipient to Police, as they have committed theft. A person is obligated to make all efforts to return found / received items if there is a reasonable chance of the correct owner being identified. Good luck.
