There are a heap of trophies that we have to go through that were not collected at the Presentation Dinner. Every trophy was presented by the man himself, Mr Fred Gibson. This was a really, really good event. So many people on their first ever track day. Doing that at Wakefield is both Challenging and safe. Not many things to hit. The first couple of sessions got a bit hairy when the guys were letting cars out whilst other cars were coming down the straight, but that was soon sorted out. The weather couldn't have been better, and everyone got at least five sessions and a couple of passenger runs. The Group A and C cars were sensational, and their last session out the boys swapped cars and had some fun in somebody elses car. They had a ball. I didn't come last, so I was happy with that, AND I got some laps in the DR30 with the big boys. A very small club ran this event, and Kudos to the team behind how weill it was run. It wasn't just the track day, it was the show and shine, sign in and everything. It all ran so well. Also thank to Goulburn Council, Courthouse, and Wakefield for all of their help with this. Seriously, they made this one look easy. The guys at Wakefield were so helpful. All times are up on Natsoft, and Show and Shine willers will be announced soon. The club is in Victoria, so we all only got home last night. So try and be a little bit patient. Cheers

You're a bit confused. No airport run for the Skyline Nationals, but there is one planned for the SAU Nationals. The dates are the 7th to the 9th. 7th is sign in day, 8th is show and shine, 9th is track day at Wakefield. We are also haveing a farewell breakfast on the Monday morning (the 10th). For more info and contact details go to www.skylinenationals.com.au Cheers

I am very interested in the bonnet, I am in Melbourne though, it could be a logistical nighmare to get it over here undamaged. Do you have any packaging to suit?

Just to add a bit more info, We don't have sup regs up yet, because Winton haven't given us the event permit number yet, but have confirmed we have the track. We will have both regularity and fastest times in each class. (There are 4 classes in the Current CSA Championship). The regularity and Speed events will not be held seperately, but in the same sessions, so there will be plenty of sessions on the track. Every one who has already entered will get a new copy of the sup regs once we have them, then it's simply an email to us to confirm your class, or you can even let us know on the day. It's all about keeping it simple, and having fun. Anyone who has thought about staying for the presentation dinner, has an extra reason to now that Fred Gibson is a definate, and Christine an almost definate. DOes anyone ever get sick of hearing Fred's tales. The SAU NSW Dinner also saw Christine speak as well, and that was a great evening.

We allow any sort of car into the club, because any enthusiast is welcome. If you read on our website we even say that. And it's only other makes that can come along for the track day. We try to encourage Skylines only for the show and shine, but we have in the past had some fantastic Mazda's along as well. The club is not big enough, or cocky enough to say you can't come if you don't have a skyline . And it's definitely not a cash grab, it's just a fantastic event to get all car enthusiasts to come along if they want. As this club would already know, it's very hard for clubs to make money out of these sorts of events, and generally, the clubs make a small loss. Even at 2010's Nationals which was fully subscribed, the club only made a token amount. Additonally, CSA is a Members Funds Club, so if any money is made, it belongs to the members, not the club, so how can that be a bad thing . By the very name of the event, it ensures that we will have a very high percentage of Skylines there.

Thats a great Idea, just leave the class blank, (altho classes are on the Haunted Hills Sup regs, and they won't change for the Nats), and we can certainly sort it out at sign in. Thats the best thing to do. Some of our entrants don't even know what car they are going to be in yet, so leaving the class blank will be fine
-
Ahahaha Duncan. The classes will be the same as in the Haunted Hills Supp Regs. We will be running regularity as well as class wins. All classes will be the same as the classes in the Haunted Hills sup regs, coz thats how the championship points run in CSA. However, there will be additional prizes for those who are not members of CSA, and they are just for the Nationals. To make this clear. The Nats is a part of the CSA Championship point score for all members, BUT, we understand that there are members of other clubs who want to attend this event, so we will be having class wins and regularity wins (and second places) for the track day and show and shine for the nats. Hope that clears it up a little.

Need to be hit accross the head, coz I was thinking of the supp regs for the Haunted Hills day this saturday. We don't have an event permit number yet, so we can't have sup regs. If you go to the CSA website and download the sup regs for Haunted Hills, the Nats ones will be very much the same. Supp regs will be sent to all entrants as soon as we have an event permit number. (Event is confirmed, we just don't have the number yet). Sorry for the confusion, I am old after all!!!!

If you check the poster, and the nats website, it's all clear. Friday the seventh is sign in day, saturday the 8th is show and shine, and sunday the 9th is the track day. Monday the 10th is farwell breakfast day. Supp regs and entry forms are now up on the Skyline Nationals website and more info on the facebook page. www.skylinenationals.com.au or search fro the Skyline Nationals Facebook page and like, and all updates will automatically come through to you. The supp regs also list classes etc.

Okay - Who's Going Down To Dandy?
cazz replied to Union76's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Was too hot down there to hang around. Very little shade. A few people started leaving around 11. By 12.30 most had had enough of sitting in the sun. Was a great turnout for the Nissan Datsun community though, we had as many cars in our group as the rest of them put together. I think there were around 86 cars in the Nissan Datsun field. Some classic oldies there too, I counted 14 princes of all different kinds, including a couple of Glorias. There were 5 or 6 R30's of different makes, and a genuine Hako. Was a great day out. Would have been better at another venue, where there might have been more exposure to the public, but it was better to have it at Dandy, than not at all -
Was a great day out there today. Thought we would have seen more late model Skylines. Nissan Datsun had more cars out there than than ther rest of the makes put together. Bit hot, and not the greatest venue, but was better to have it there, than not have it at all. Great to see so many classics out there today.

Where are you located. I could be interested in the bonnet.

I have a stock FJ20 Sump you could borrow Works510. I am also bringing an R30. Should be a good show of the sixth skyline out there. -
Think what you like about whether I am genuine. I was asking genuine questions in a public forum. I can't see what's wrong with that. It's where you have advertised it. It alos helps other people who may be looking at the thread. No offence meant here either BTW. I really was just trying to get some extra info on the car. I am still interested, but it's a bit out of my price range.

No I didn't realise that. Thanks anyway.

mmm they do need it if your gonna do anything other than drift. I am not interested in the hydraulic handbrake, how much without that setup? Bottom dollar cash, and I will come and pick it up this weekend.
