I'm a girl! Sorry for any confusion. Can you tell me whether it is pedders springs and shocks? Thanks for the prompt reply. I am looking for a better brake/suspension combo, but I can do both, as I have the parts, But if the car doesn't at least have pedders springs, it is outside of my budget, coz I will go Bilstein and GTS brake setup. Cheers for the info.

Can you tell me if any work has been done on the brakes, and/or suspension? I am interested. Just wanting to know what, if any, work has been doen to the brakes and suspension? What part of Melbourne are you in?

Classics Screwed At Nationals
cazz replied to Ghostrider's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
I think a classic event would be great. But inside this event, don't think I would turn up. Tired of being scoffed at because I own a Classic. At the Prince GT 40th Anniversary, (Which I was very priviledged to be invited to), my R31 GTS was referred to as a "Modern Skyline". I was still however, made to feel as welcome as any other member there, and my car was still embraced, even though it wasn't considered a classic. I am only saying that, so that people can see that sometimes it works in reverse as well. As already discussed with you Dennis, had we known more than 6 weeks prior to the 2010 nats that there would be so many R30's there, there certainly would have been more trophys for that category. The reason there were so many R31 trophy's was based on previous years R31 turnouts. We had 50 of them there last year as well, so I think the number of trophy's was justified. However, we still tried to cover all models, including the later model series. Especially as SAU SA was so involved. I don't see this thread lasting either, but glad you bought it up. You're always controversial, but this time, I think you got it right. -

Very rare ECCS Factory Manual. Car is in exceptional condition inside and out. Has had RB25 Turbo fitted, only because it was cheaper to do this than rebuild the stock RB20 one. Recently replaced cat, exhaust and fitted new Bilstein suspension. Also replaced Lower control arms and all bushes. Car is 100 percent in working order, down to auto lights and wipers. Specs. Factory electric sunroof Factory climate control (all working) Auto lights Auto wipers Electric lumbar on drivers seat. Working Auto Spoiler Full alarm including central locking and 2 shock sensors. (A little too sensitive at the moment). 18x9 Inch Wheels (Rear) and 18x8 (front), with as new tyres. Will also supply the original wheels with caps, fitted with 2 new Yokohama tyres. (Car will be supplied with RWC with these wheels fitted.) Also has a complete Jensen top end stereo system, Ipod compatible, remote control. Very regretful sale due to having a money pit called a race car. Will negotiate on paying rego, but price is firm.

Rb25Det Engine Ecu And Loom
cazz replied to cazz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Photo for reference. As you can see, complete with all accessories. -
I have for sale my RB25DET Series 2 VCT Engine with loom and ECU. This is a low kay engine, (I know everyone says theres is a low kay engine), that has been scoped and compression tested and is defiantely a low kay engine. Came out of a series 2 R33 with just under 70,000 kays on it. The car was bought from fowles as a structural write off. (Rear end collision). Engine has not been started for 3 years, so will need to be flushed and some run in oil run through before doing any hard work on the engine. Engine comes with complete loom and factory ECU. I bought this engine to transplant into my HR31, however, have decided to leave the HR standard, and not modified. I need the money now, so I am looking at figures very close to the $2000 I paid for it, so the sale price is $2000.00 ONO Mobile contact is 0419344322. Will post a picture up later this arvo.

Classic Skylines Roll-Call
cazz replied to Silent Shadow's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Wow -
Don't understand why you wouldn't do merchandise, it's not too much trouble, easy as, and very good for the club as a whole. Everyone wants a souvenir of the event. It's one way for the clubs to make a little bit of extra money. And it's a heap of fun to organise the design etc. Mark at Decroft could give you a hand, and get it doen through Bluegum at cheap as rates. I reckon ya gotta do it, from experience, it's good for everyone.

Classic Skylines Roll-Call

One of mine Another one of mine I know they are only R31's Here's the most important one of mine At the Skyline Nationals (Mallala) last year, first time I drove it. -
Exactly the same thing has happened to me after being referred to them by another suspension place who could not fix a hicas problem in the HR31. 8 weeks and so much money, that I am embarrassed to say how much he charged me for this repair, and the car is awful to drive, now has diff noise, diff backlash, driveline vibration and steers awful. So much bullshit from him as well. I had to pay the money, because he wouldn;t let me take the car, but I will be making sure that he is going to hear about it after the fact. Shit workshop, shit service and shit attitude. Wish I had of been in here to read this first, should have googled them I suppose. We live and learn.

I have taken it to PM with one of the members, but if you guys continue to use the name Skyline Nationals, the owner of the incorporated name, and the domain is going to get very upset. You need to refer to this event as SAU nationals, guys, not Skyline Nationals.
-
Second post in here for me, but I had top say this again. You guys did an amazing job of keeping everything on track, and ensuring the night was entertaining. It is by far the best SAU meet I have EVER been to. The guys in SA set the bench mark pretty high for a great club full of terrific guys and gals who are plain just passionate about their cars, you guys met that benchmark. Sincerely hoping you can all be involved as a team with CSA to get SkyNats 2012 the same sort of hit the SA guys made 2010. Well done for an amazing, entertaining and informative night. Every time I see JIm, he has a different story, and is there anyone more diplomatic than Him? I don't think so. Food was amazing, service by the Trackside staff was even better. Looking forward to the next one you guys run.

Was a great nite well run by you guys. Well done.

SAU SA made the last nationals the fantastic event it was. They were amazing. Thats what happens when clubs work together. Never could understnad why SAU Vic never got behind the last three events, when they had the opportunity to be as involved in the event as the organising clubs. (NDSOC for the first one and CSA for the other two). It's disappointing for me, as a club president, to see the level of reply to this event, when the lst three have been highly publicised in here, and have been huge without the attendance of many SAU VIC members. If the Committee of SAU Vic had of got behind the other nationals events like they have with this one, it would have been even better and bigger. CSA Would love to support SAU with this one too, and if there is anything we can do to help, just yell. Please also feel free to advertise it on the CSA Forum, and if you email [email protected] with info you would like on our website, we would be happy to put it in there as well.

I sooooo want a DR30 road car. Yours makes me want one even more. Gotta be an ironmask tho. Their prices are going through the roof now, gonna miss the boat if I don't act soon. I don't know anywhere near enough about DR30's despite owning one, but the race car has manual windows, despite being a genuine RSX 2000c, anyone shed any light on that?
-
Yep that was my little beasty.
-
How come so many people are copping flack in this section, when there is really only one offender?
-
The day was pretty good all things considered. NDSOC had heaps more cars there last year, even they were a little underwhelmed by the turnout. CSA were there as well, we were promised 15-20 cars, and we got 7. Anyone thinking of coming to this next year, but worried about what to do for 6 hours, apart from all being hopeless, there is heaps to do at Docklands, Cosco, plenty of shops, restaurants, so much to do. Get on it next year, it's a fantastic venue and location.
