Only 3 spots left for Winton. I expect these to be filled within the next day or two. With all of the hype attached to this event, it is well worth attending even as a spectator. If you would like to go on the waiting list, let me know.

Nissan Skyline R31 1989 Question
cazz replied to scrimple101's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Your powershift locks out fourth gear (overdrive) and changes the shift points. You will use heaps more fuel if you run around with powershift on all the time. -
One month to go. Link to all the forms and downloads - www.skylinenationals.com Get on board this one guys and gals, it was absolutley huge last year, and with Winton, its gonna be even bigger. Phone details etc: And if you want to see these cars - in the flesh, and also racing at Winton, Be there. We have also had 99 percent confirmed that there will be an extra special car there, yes even more special that Rod, Terry and Gavin's beauties. Rod and Terry had a ball last time, that they asked me if they could come again.

Running 19's on your GTS is illegal as well. You can only run 18's. Why did you buy a GTS if you want to mod a car? Everyone on here knows I am the ultimate pain in the arse when it comes to modding one of these. Unless yours is a heap of shit, or very unoriginal, leave it alone. I do like RSX84's car above, but that is under sufferance. It's hard to find the right offset in a 4x114.3 stud pattern, there is lots of info on them here - www.r31skylineclub.com. I know you have been there, and the R31 forum has much more info for your 31 than here. (Not hanging shit on this one though). Horses for courses. As I said in one of your other threads, contact me on [email protected] if you would like any decent info, genuine parts or just general help.

Try total traction diffs in Moorabbin. He is pretty good with diffs. The whine in the R31 is due to harmonics, not diff or tailshaft. You can take a diff out of a 31 and put it in a VL, and no whine. It because the rear floorpan of the car was originally designed for IRS, and the old borg warner whine that is in every borg warner diff is amplified by the boot and boot floor harmonics. I wouldn't be putting a minispool in your GTS. Apart from being illegal, it makes them a pain in the arse to drive normally. If you want some help with your GTS, send me an email to [email protected] and I can help you with most questions, parts and just general knowledge.

Head on over to www.r31skylineclub.com with all of your questions. They have a whole tech info section to help you out. SAU is a great site, but for the older R31's, if you are wanting a heap of info head over there. It probably doesn't have a cracked head, maybe a gasket. The RB30 in the skyline needs some pretty harsh treatment beofre it cracks a head. Looks like a good buy for $150.00. GXE and all, and doesn't seem in too bad a nick Good luck with it.

Anyone Going To The Ndsoc Show 'n Shine?
cazz replied to coupe72001's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Nice to see you got a pic of Noel Sinclairs Prince and that Turbo Stanza was mad. Disappointing that there are no pics of the other skylines that were there, like Brett Lanes Oz GTR (MINT) and the very, very nice white HR31 GTS-X of Jean Claude's. The Skylines put on a good show this eyar. Probably more skylines represented than any other model. Always good to see. Anyone get any pics of my two R31's? -
Surprised this hasn't already come up. But I am the Owner of KDS parts in Seaford VIC. I am a Nissan Parts reseller. Specialty is R31 and HR31, but can source any new part at great prices as long as it's available. Only new stuff though. I also have limited stock of GTS 1 and 2 parts and body kits. Aftermarket Remans of some HR31 stuff as well. Only quality on the reman stuff, so it's not as cheap as some. Most stuff that used to be available through Nispares is now available though me, and I keep most of it in stock. (Reman stuff that is). email [email protected] for any prices. Glad to offer trade or better to SAU members.

Should We Bring These R31 Kits In?
cazz replied to STATUS's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Lots of people ask, but not many have the cash. That front end with GTS 2 skirts and rear bar I reckon would look OK. Just need to see what R31 heaven has done with his coupe to see how good it looks. I have had full GTS 2 bodykits for sale for almost 2 years. Spray gel coated fibreglass. Full kit under 2 grand, and there is not any around that I have seen of the quality that I have, but I still don't sell many. If your up for funding a proposal like this, you would sell them, but it would take a while. I have fouind that if I have the stuff in stock, I am able to sell it, but if people have to wait, then other priorities come up, and their money disappears. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with this. -
1989 R31 Cop cars were undercover GTS 1's in a series 3 body, not 2's. 1990 Cop cars were undercover GTS 2's 20 1989 cop cars and 6 1990 cop cars.

R31 Aussie SVD Police Cars 27 in Vic and 13 in Tassie. Vic cars were 20 Series 3 with GTS 1 Spec, 7 Series 3 with GTS 2 Spec. Plain clothes though, no body kit or interior. Tassie cars were 6 GTS 1 Sedans and 7 GTS 2 Sedans. Fully fledged GTS's. R31 Aussie SVD Fire Brigade Cars 7 in Vic. All GTS 2 sedans, but no interior or body kit as per police spec cars.
