CAR 89 GTR Clutch Twin plate organic (I think) Bought a 89 GTR last year .Before the car arrived was told there might be a clutch slipping problem when cold. Got the car had it a year no problems. Put a set of nice dumps on it last week made spool up quicker.Drove it on the week end and in 4th when it comes boost clutch starts to slip, only did it once and could not make it do it again.This morning drove it again now doing it in 2nd and 3rd as well.Kept driving the car for a while and the sliping went away. No signes at all of slipping not even with a hard luanch. Whats going on? Is the clutch stuffed? Could the clutch not be releasing properly? Is it some kind of clutch that needs heat to bite? Can you get organic twin plates re lined? If so who and how much?Any help please? dont have 2 to 3k to throw at a clutch right now. Thanks.

The reason I asked this question was becuase I have just added a power FC to my GTR and the tune is (out of the box) I was told that they have very advandce timimg so I did a dyno run with results of 11.5 A/F and a knocklevel of around 20. Was told by a Melbourne PFC tuner that anything around 50 to 60 was bad.But then I was reading in PFC FAQ and it said that anything more than 10 was bad.But it sounds like 10 is a bump steer <_< so all is good B) Thanks

Just wondering what is dangerous knock level on a PFC.I was told 50-60, but read on PFC thread 10? whats the go? Car now dosnt go any more than 20 is that ok? Thanks

The rerason I wanted 6x9 is for some bass.Dont want the car full of heavy amps subs and MDF. It just runing of the head unit nothing flash and why get 5x7 when 6x9 are the same price. But I dont want to cut any metal to make em fit.

Can 6x9s fit into the front doors of a r32 with out major mods? Thnaks

I understand that FLO is better than boost.But was concerned that runing the N1s at low levels was a waste off time.Good to know that they are efficient up to 1.2 bar but whats the other end of the scale? Is it a waste to run them at .8 or .9 bar?

When I got my GTR it had all kinds of crap hanging off it.Boost controls over boost controls . Ripped it all and started from scratch. Went back to standard nissan set up with restrictor removed. Looks factory now and 1 bar all day every day.

Hey sounds the the same as what ive got. Car made 220 with standard @ 13 psi and now 230 with N1s @ 13 psi . Sounds like the turbos are made to run higher boost but how far can the standard pump and injectors go? I was hoping 250-260 with 18 psi. See what the skyline gods say

Yeah I was thinking of runing around 18 due to standarard fuel system.

I have just installed early N1 turbos on to my r32 GTR and just wondering what boost these things are designed to run at. At 13 psi only make 10kw more than the standard ones at 13psi. Mods are filters,exhuast and power FC. Any help? Thanks
