  1. Totally agree on the attitude front.....all i was getting at was you can be permitted up to the hilt and it won't mean anything if the cop has had a bad day. Bet you next get done for not having an H pattern on your gear knob. The cop only has to suspect that something isn't legal and it's off to the pits for you with a yellow. You can complain about it, but from their point of view you can change anything you want after getting permits for it, doesn't mean it's legal. Driver attitude is often a major factor in this, so is your clothing and general maturity. I found i was being pulled over more on average when wearing my beanie than i was when not.....so go figure that.
  2. 1. Not sure if this would be a straight swap...the mounting holes may be different. 2. HICAS is fine for road use, but can slow you down on lap times at the track. Cheapest way is to buy a lock bar. 3. Series 2 came with ABS and drivers airbag. I think the front seats are also different. Different ECU and ignition system. Not sure what else.
  3. no one has any idea? :$
  4. they'll always find something to shat on you for.....that's what happens when ur 18 and drive something nice.
  5. Hi Guys. I've had a recent injection of cash and want to make my R33 GTST more reliable on the track. The car has just hit 100,000Ks and I will be doing the major service. Car is standard except for: GTR FMIC 3 " exhaust HD Ceramic Clutch DBA slotted front rotors E-boost series 1 (running 12psi) HKS superflow filter Unichip piggyback ECU Whiteline adj sway bars Last dyno result was 265hp and I am not really looking to chase more power at this stage. Can the standard turbo reliably run 12psi with frequent track duties considering the age of the vehicle and amount of k's should I be looking at rebuilding this? I am asking this because i have been looking at the GCG highflow but don't want to upgrade fuel pump or injectors at this stage as I don't really desire any more power, just want rock solid reliability. I don't want the turbine wheel to strip blades and cause engine damage! My proposed track upgrades are: Power FC + Hand Controller Tien Super Street Coilovers ARC Oil Cooler kit PWR replacement aluminium radiator Braided brake lines (Nismo?) SplitFire Ignition coil packs (mine are showing a lot of wear) GCG Highflow Turbo (see question above. Is this necessary?) Things im not sure about to include during the 100,000km service are: Heavy duty timing belt (Is this worth investing in for my power figures?) HKS exhaust Cam Pulley (as above) I know that the head gasket has been replaced by CRD in the last 2 years. Is there anything else im missing here? Sorry for the long post. Cheers Andrew
  6. Geez mate....what for this time??
  7. What you are hitting is the factory ECU "flat spot". Quite common and will be resolved once some kind of engine management is introduced.
  8. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the appropriate mount points were for a 3 point harness in an R33 GTST. Particularly the mount point behind the seat. Cheers
  9. In answer to your question, ring up some smash repairers, they should be able to sell you some mesh sheets.
  10. If you ride the standard clutch too much you'll burn it out real quick.
  11. does it appear to only come from one side of the vehicle? Front? Rear? Could be one of you calipers has come loose and is knocking slightly on the rim. Could be loose wheel nuts and the wheel is knocking against the wheel nuts.
  12. What are your air/fuel readings like?? is it richening up occasionally or is it pretty flat.
  13. Could be faulty O2 sensor or AFM's are buggered. This should be pretty apparent on the DYNO....sounds like your tuners know Jack S**T. Check all your IC hoses for leaks. How many K's has the car done?? wouldn't have thought it was the cat if it has done under 100,000.
  14. are you refering the the AC fan?
  15. You remove the spare and do an install that mounts the sub into the tyre well
  16. you have pm from me re Bonnet
  17. You won't have "offs" in your car unless you try to impress people and drive outside your limits or the limits of the car
  18. Yeah....Brass button clutches are more difficult to drive than an organic or ceramic HD clutch.....ull probably have to take off in 2nd so you don't wheelspin in traffic.
  19. has anyone taken a fibreglass bonnet or CF bonnet over the pits?
  20. I would usually get around 400 - 450 kms from a tank. it's all in the tuning really. Is your car stock? What mods does it have?
  21. When I was looking at buying my skyline...my gf was trying to get me to buy a commodore wagon cause it was "MORE PRACTICAL" ....I said no F'ing way!... When I picked her up from work for the first time in my brand new purchase....she couldn't keep the grin off her face the whole way home.
  22. I have a Heavy Duty clutch and it makes noises when it engages....haven't had any issues with it.
