Go with the Alpine. I've owned response amps before and they aren't the best. Had a lot of noise and distortion compared to my Fusion amp.

I doubt you'll be able to get a set of springs and shocks for that price. Unless you go for second hand. Just Jap has some second hand suspension at the moment on sale. Check out www.justjap.com but be aware that these are usually coil over packages and may not improve the comfort factor. Otherwise get a good set of springs that aren't too low. Like a set of low kings and keep the factory shocks until you can afford new shocks. You'll probably find your bumpstops are rooted and need to be replaced as well.

i have a carbon bonnet and haven't had any trouble with cops as yet....but im not sure on its legality. I suppose how much you get hassled will depend on how much attention your car draws from the cops and whether or not u cruise in a lot of "hot spots" at night. I only really drive my car on the track.

I had this problem on my car....the engine was misfiring and spark was breaking down at high RPM (4000 or above). Had the workshop check it out and found that 2 of my coil packs were on the way out. I bought 2 second hand replacements from the for sale section on SAU replaced the old ones and now everything is sweet. In the meantime while running with the faulty coils the workshop regapped the corresponding spark plugs closer in order to try and reduce the misfiring. As more load is put on the coils, the spark breaks down more and arcs out causing the misfire. Check your plugs as well because there could be a lot of deposit on them which may be fouling them as well.

For all out power the GTR is the way to go. All these cars are fairly common these days. I'd first decide whether I'd want a 4 or a 6 or 4wd or 2wd and then go from there.

why not get a set of stock gtst rims and some second hand tyres from a wreckers.

This has been covered before and the general concensus is that a car aircon unit cannot generate enough cold air to drop the high inlet temperatures. It is simply too small for the heat loading. The temps inside the cabin are no where near those inside the engine bay.
