Hey guys an gals, Thought i would throw up some pics of the order of carbon fibre bits and pieces i just received from Matt from Newera imports (Legend). So i am in the process of revamping my R32 Gtr, both engine wise and externally. Whilst im stock piling all the parts for my new tune i thought i would also look at the cosmetics of the car. So i bought wheels (Rota), steering wheel (OMP), shifter (Nismo duracon), changed recaro drivers back to stock for a clean interiror look but was looking for a bit more outside the car. Got speaking to Matt from Newera IMports and he sent through photos of all the carbon bits for my car and we got talking. Intercooler Ducts: Carbon Exhaust garnish: Rear Spat: Same as N1 rear skirt/spat but in carbon fibre. I love carbon fibre on cars but i def know that you can over do carbon fibre. So my car is Gun metal grey and the carbon is noticeable but it isnt 'balls out' or way out there. This goes on the car along with a N1 rear lip, front carbon lip as original one has been damaged (coming) and some window deflectors. All in all the craftsmanship and overall quality is impecable, better than what i had expected. SO a BIG BIG thank you to Matt and the team from NEWERA IMPORTS. great great service and impecable shipping, care and product knowledge. Thanks! stay tuned: will be posting pics of the parts fitted real soon! JD

Hey guys! This happened last weekend. Went out to shopping centre for breakfast/shopping with gf and mate. There is a car wash operating within the centre parking, so i left the car with them to wash. Returning 2 hrs later to find the employee of the car wash has rolled my car forward into a wheel stopper pole bending the front lower lip right in and under the car (was held on by bolts cable ties however some of the bolts were broken off). The car is my R32 Gtr pride and joy, admitadly the lower lip was scuffed from previous owner and was going to be replaced by a cf one now this happened. The car wash business/employee has denied ever trying to move the car saying i left the car in that state (they previously walked around the whole car when quoting what would get washed - i also have 2 witnesses who saw how i parked it and where i parked it) I got security, carpark management and police, filing all various reports, so i have that side covered Have now saught legal advice and will be taking this further to tribunal. But i need some quotes etc before i go there and put in an application. The front bar has slightly been pulled lower on the passenger side from the impact pulling the bar down from the lip so i am out to replace the whole front end or at least be compensated for this ammount. WHAT I NEED/AM AFTER: Nissan part number for R32 GTR Front bar (with the N1 vents and without also): If they are basically the same i will get the front bar with N1 vents. Nissan part number for R32 GTR front lower lip (is this included with the front bar number or a seperate part/number???) **I rang Nissan Parts gave the VIN etc and they were little help, i have had an email from them with the front bar pictured however there is no lower lip in the picture. SMASH REPAIRER: I also need a quote from a smash repairer/Painter to have the damage looked at, then quote for new bar and front lip to be painted and fitted as per factory. Is anyone local to North shore area? Friend of a Friend that can sort me out for this kind of a quote (Am seeing a local shop tomorrow early) Or does anyone know of someone local that could assist with this matter. Basicallly im totally pissed off about what has happened, the operators have damaged my car refused service and denied all damage, Due to all the evidence i have photos, reports etc and witnesses I stand a good chance within court, if it goes that far. **Stay tuned. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your assistance/help/advice i appreciate this. I just want to make sure these ppl get there desserts and this doesnt happened to anyone else. JD

Hey man, I run the Rota Grid on my Gtr. (look at my posts if you wanna see pics) Admitadly its a gtr so has a load more clearance, im running 18X10 265 with offset +15. In the Rotas you want the concave!! they look gay flat face. Minor Lip roll and u can do 9, 9.5's with nice offset. well worth it for good stance and nice wheels. JD

pull them out?? easy enough fix
-
Ahh that will probablly be the reason. still. has a nice subtle note from outside the car. Yeah love the carbon fibre N1 lip, pulled the spoiler off the other day just for something different, and the clean around it properlly, need to re tape the lip down, used slightly dodgey double sided tape. Looking to swap the standard wing out for a CF oem one. just waiting on details. what 5zigen exhaust is it?? looking to get a new exhaust (apexi N1 3.5") but apparently its going to be massively loud. JD32R replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks very much mate for the detail. so basically xforce = split and better off going with 34gtr stock or tomei as are open. would def appreciate the contact mate thanks! yep, cant agree more. have read all the write ups about stainless over stock etc, would never look at getting stainless. If you could ask him that would be something i would be very interested in cheers!. Unigroup dont provide such a service?? id prefer to keep the stock manifold were possible and port match were possible, over forking out for a brand new already ported manifold where possible. The tomei gears are here: $400 delivered http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/369701-brand-new-tomei-inex-cam-gears-pulley-rb-202526/page__p__5893114#entry5893114 Race pace: $350. Ben at Race Pace said their in house gears are better for longevity as of the composition of the adjustable centre. (i also like yourself like the plainness of them over the flashy red tomei) However the tomei are a good price from what ive researched. thoughts?? -

Would i be right to use something like the x-force dumps, tomei are too dear but super nice?? currently looking into R34 Gtr ones (what does a set go for roughly) will have the car on hoist this weekend so will have a look at what is all under there? x force and various other dumps here: http://www.300zx.com.au/pricelists/pricelist_gtrexhaust.htm Also is worth while to port match the manifolds?? or should i look at something like the UAS extrude honed manifolds (link above)?? Looking at a new set of Tomei cam gears at present that are for sale in forums and got a good price and run down from Race Pace on their cam gears also? any preference or better way to go?? as for above post^^ sorry man looks like we are holding onto the dash 7s (presumed) for the time being.. If however down the track we might see. thanks again for the help. -

JD32R, on 12 October 2011 - 01:48 PM, said: -running what i believe to be R34 Gtr N1 turbos / dash 7's Im guessing you bought the car like that and havnt had them off to check? If you know they're the 7's, is suggest you save your money and dont change to -9's as they're SO close to each other its not worth the effort and expense to change them. Lets say you do the swap, excluding labour here's some numbers to consider; You need to buy; Turbos $2190 Gaskets (manifold and turbo) $126.50 1 Bar actuators; $240 Total $2556.5 You then can sell the 7's to offset this cost. They seem to average about $1400 second hand, so you're out of pocket $1156.50 PLUS labour which I cant see being less than $350 at any shop so thats $1506.5 you're out of pocket assuming you can get $1400 for the old turbos. My advice, ask Yavuz or Tyson very nicely to get out the bore scope and do their best to read the tag on the turbo's so you know what you've got on their currently. ^^Correct, i bought the car pretty much as it was, so havent had them off to check, but ill get the guys to have a look and see what they can determine. Thats quite a bit, if they are only gonna give me that little bit extra, I am right into response, just want to get a bit more power, improve my shite fuel economy and have an all over street weapon. Judging from all the write ups the dash 5's are gonna just annoy me (usually drive around with my mate in his makkinen which is instantly on boost and very punchy) so want somethin streetable. Thanks again for all the information on Gears, Injectors and pon cams. Going to start looking up all those and ordering the correct ones. Was slightly worried about cams, pistons etc as not quite at the stage where i want a full rebuild, however if the poncams can be done without the point of doing a full rebuild im behind that also. Going to call up Unigroup and start talking over getting the tune done (dont worry will drop some names and sau - really need to sign up to be a nsw membership, ill chase that up). Another thought id had was also hi flowing the turbos that are on there? is this a worth while venture or just better off to go with whats currently on there/swap to dash 9 down the track. (this is more likely the step after tuning/parts if at all, being the dash 7s are close 9s as you said). thanks again mate. JD -
R34 Gtr Intercooler Performance/efficiency
JD32R replied to PSI-FED's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also pretty interested in the difference over a R32 R33 GTR cooler. Have read and been told they have a higher flow?? or slightly better core which allows better cooling? Currently have a R34 Gtr cooler to put into my R32 Gtr. -

Hi Mate, Just wanted to say thanks for the information in the thread (also big thanks to R31 nismoid - i regularly watch your threads and re read them, cheers mate) Im currently in the same boat as most of the ppl watching this thread. i have a R32 Gtr. 84k km on the clock - genuine. -running what i believe to be R34 Gtr N1 turbos / dash 7's -eboost street running high and low boost. 14 and 18 i believe off top of my head. -Apexi PFC -N1 pumps -Apexi pods w/Z32 AFM -usual other bits, radiator, dumps (unsure of brand spec etc), hi flow cat (same), exhaust which i believe is at min 3inch from cat to 3.5inch with proper muffler setup and end. This is what im looking to upgrade/buy for my next tune. in very near future: currently the car makes 290 ish i think, cant remember the exact figure but its around that on 18psi. (at present car economy is quite bad in comparison to mates almost exact build with more hp). -adjustable cam gears (looked at kits for Greddy w/timing belt, HKS, and JUN off nengun) Greddy thus far appears to be cheaper and accessible. -injectors 700cc - 800cc, now i know i need to get low impedance, top feed, but im after direct drop in ones? any ideas or best ones to look at, now im happy to spend the money on worthy products but again money saved here is money spend else where. -changing pods over to stock airbox/snorkel with Nismo filter/K&N if that is worn out. Im over pods and the hot air, also i like the design and legality of the box/ have read you can cut into the bottom and run another flexible pipe to a lower point of the front bar? not sure if worth it -Have a R34 Gtr intercooler to install, for better look and have read they are bit better than the stock R32 gtr ones. NEXT step (near future hopefully): i will be grabbing some dash-9's for myself: from what ive read, using the HKS actuators is the best way to go?? esentially the -9 is a GTSS turbo (same housings, wheels etc)? Im trying to get information on the parts i want to get *above so i can take the car and parts for a tune (Unigroup Syd) i want a bit more power from the turbos, and i want to run a better over all system. At present the car is really slurping juice and friend has noted being behind me that whenever i am up the gears and change there is a dump of black. My mate who runs a simmilar car is averaging 25% on my fuel economy with more power, bigger injectors, adj cam gears etc. nothing else different. Now bare with me i am quite new to turbo'd cars etc but have a fair understanding of whats what, just not much on specifications, brands, etc etc - so if anyone wants to lend me a hand would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. -
Yeah man! see your car round heaps as well. My gf rang me up in a panic saying she say someone driving past her with my car, turns out it was yours im 99% sure. ha. Hopefully see you out there man, Gtr is usually out on the street with a evo 6.5 makinnen and soarer on the weekends. what have you done to yours man? sounded good.

Ah beat me too it!! they look dope man! Looking to get my set sent next week hopefully. IF you could get a few of around the car i.e side on further away with from rear and from front would be off the chain. I think they look mint man!!

Whats A Fair Price To Fill Spoiler Holes And Repaint?
JD32R replied to humsup34's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hey mate. Did the same thing with my R32 Gtr for the moment. Took off the rear Oem wing and left the N1 carbon fibre lip on the boot. I went to clarke rubber got rubber grommets they sell for patching up canoo's and squished them in. they are black so dont stand out and are quite flat so are barely noticeable. all up cost me like $6 or so? another alternative to welding or patching up, just in case you wanted the wing or another one on in the future. -
