What Kind Of Steering Wheel Should I Get For My Gtr
JD32R replied to GTRAAH's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Enough Said! Nothing wrong with the classic Nardi. i have one slight dish looks amazing and oldschool but still very modern and sleak. (also not totally out there on the PO PO radar) However i also bought an OMP corsica (I think) in suede, mate has one on his drift car and it was amazing when i drove it so bought one. If your an ebay fan, maybe check ebay UK for OMP and also Nardi at good prices. dont get a chinese or thailand copy get a real one. They just look better! I found in 5 mins a couple of good ones on ebay UK (most genuine ones were in boss kit sets for Euro cars) maybe PM sellers to see whether they can ship just a wheel at a cheaper price given the Boss kit will weight a bit. I would really recommend OMP. just feels so nice! and in the Gtr sits you back in the seat and great turning response. Flat face will sit alternatively rather forward depending on your driving style setup etc etc. hope that helps!! whatever you do. if you can dont cheap out and get a shpecked up Ebay wheel get a decent one for a few hundred max or second hand and a nice boss kit. your car will thank you! -
P Platers Driving Turbos And V8's
JD32R replied to Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR's topic in New South Wales
In conjunction with the inaddequate driver training available from the government, Rta licensing, testing should test on more than driving know how, rules and parking/driving test which lets be honest as a nervous 17yr old i got 106 points out of 100 points so yeah you do that math. My Dad had an affiliation with the BMW group, did a whole bunch of track days, owned a restored E36 M3, first thing as soon as he taught me some car control and how to drive offensively rather than defensively he enrolled me in a weekend advanced driver course for BMW. Did the hot lap in a M3 which was Amazing! at the time lol now i have a gtr probablly not so good but still a great day. The things i picked up from that day whilst simple at the time when i was a young driver have to this day saved my skin in accidents more than 2 times. worth it! the new rules governing V8's and turbos are very harsh considering some of the cars you can drive legally are far worse. i have seen P platers in F250's trying to park them parralel and all sorts of crap, there needs to be a more moderated *fine line* in regards to car types and exclusions. I am also not a fan of the exemption rule that is ridiculous. I feel the L plate car restrictions should be introduced also. noted a SRT Dodge viper in north sydney on L plates. sorry but thats fking stupid! WE need greater restrictions across the board or none at all! another thing to possibly look at in terms of licensing is the overseas element who come over with a international license and cant drive. (guy i know just about killed us cause he was from thailand and assured us all he could drive, spent the trip driving from the passenger seat as i had been drinking). The government needs to compensate or work further with the *youth* in driver programs, driver skills, control, car handling, if it wants to have harsh limits and restrictions for the younger aged. I missed all the restrictions for P's and am happy however i also learnt to drive from a very young age in the country and went through and did a few driver courses to improove myself. -

Its like a honda integra DC2 mated with a Toyota Soarer. My japanese is 50/50 but the internals pictures look nice! Hot engine bay shot! however the comment still stands *face only a mother could love* Had a little imagine about what they would do if they were allowed to dc2 style a R34 Gtr. oh DEAR GOD! -

Lol Trust! Have to agree with above posts. JDM culture seems to be more civilised. Was in my mates S13, guy in an evo 9 came past, had a bit of a squirt with him, (evo 9 - roof racks and all lol actually looked good) nice lil chat at the lights then followed him for a bit before turning off. very polite and civilised with a bit of play. my experience with the commies and as such is just dick behaviour (not all as i had a new SS for a bit before picking up my gtr and wasnt one of these guys all the posts are about) Had another one a few weeks back filling up the car. guy in an XR6 ute, with a really shit ppppppfffff TISH TISH TISH TISH bov revving through the petrol station slipping clutch to shit then burning out onto main road and glaring me down. Caught up a little while later and simmilar story, the need to chop, need to race you aspect. road opened up and so did the GTR Had a really nice chat with a couple of guys in a toyota supra that i was trailing at 2am on the freeway up the coast with my old man. (doing removals of a house) turned out to be a high up member of supra australia magnificent car over 1000hp, chalked all gears haha. dad and i sat with him at higher speeds (no one on road at all, not condoning speeding also) in the SS (600hp) mainly as i wanted to get a good look at the car till the guys let rip 4th or what have u and shoot off into the night plus 200kmph where we were not going to follow haha. bumped into the same guys at the next maccas along the way and had a real nice chat about the car and other import stuff. Just a very different culture. (wish the same could be said for the abundance of WRX's Civics and lexus's with 20's that keep seeming to multiple in my area - lower north shore) -

Came past a guy in a Commodore Clubsport, trying to get through some terrible morning drivers. Came past changing gears (in speed limit) letting off BOV (must really hurt some commodore drivers) The guy sped up behind me chopped around 2 other cars and came all the way back to the middle lane at the next set of lights. him: "cant you f**king read moite says 297" (i know what the 297 is im not thick) me: yeah cool, 290 . . . at the wheels mate. he revved his clubby which sounded like turd and threw if off the lights. two quick shifts and i had him pretty easy, backed off and straight into 4th at speed limit then took the furthest left lane as it bottle necks, he came roaring past, i then drove past him wedged behind a right turning vehicle 500m up the road. timed a nice shift right next to him and last i saw of him. not a skyline but JDM related: Mate in evo 6.5 had a guy in a clubsport pull up next to him (guy quoted fast and furious or something like that) "only milk and juice comes in 2L u dick" mate: " well then your 6L must go 3 times harder than my juice box" mate chomped him at the lights and then had a bit of fun with him through some windy roads. lol. Just so funny some of the stupid shit ppl say to us guys in skylines and JDM cars or imports in general. Having said that though have had a lot of real nice chat's with guys at lights and shops, parking lots regarding my car, mates cars. guys that are just wanting to know more. I think this is what portrays us best. LOL jobbed myself reading the very early posts hahaha. -

Hey guys, I currently have twin APEXI pods with the super intake system on Z32 AFM's. Really like the ARC airbox's, which i stumbled onto when looking into custom fab for an airbox and front bar/bonnet vent like stock R32 intake. Did a little search through here about the ARC box with Z32 meters as have been told it "will not fit" from one source and "will fit with a little fiddling" from another. I trust the first source more so than the second however i would like to attempt to fit it if it *may* work without too much hassle. I really dont know much about the fittment, size, inlets or anything in association with the ARC box, also the same for the Z32 AFM's, i realise they are much larger and with the APEXI pods they sit very Full in the front corner of the engine bay/ If anyone could assist would be much appreciated! I know how much they are, i just quite like the look style and ease of them (provided it can fit) otherwise am going custom air box/inlet to try and legalise the engine bay up. Cheers JD

Mate, Had a full exhaust done for my old car NA V6 Holden Vectra (was on P's, first car) Got it done at Castle Hill Exhaust, guy that works there is Jack i believe. He fitted the exhaust first thing on a sat morn for me, price was good at late notice as another exhaust shop fitted wrong exhaust size even though i said 2.25inch so he ripped that off and fitted a new custom one with a muffler i supplied. He rang me while i was walking around the closest shopping area well before i was due to come back to say it had been done, thought the service help and approachability was really good! he fitted me in very late notice i.e. morning after i called. Also however a big fan of what was said UP ABOVE. $1450 is shit loads for a NA exhaust. I'm cranky about paying $950 HKS high power exhaust cat back for my R32 GTR (fitment will be free for me ) also trying to source one from Japan cheaper or second hand one of here for cheaper also. Personally, when you get a turbo (if ur on P's or aspiring to buy one) save the money for that. Awesome having a new exhaust but downer when u go to sell and look at your lovely exhaust driving away. my 2 cents. Best of luck mate with new exhaust!! post some pics when u get it done! JD

Good luck with the sale mate! perfect example. If you dont mind me asking what power this little guy would be putting down, just out of curiosity. Good luck mate!

Have to agree, I have heard of all the problems with the pre workout supplements with concentrate caffeine and large instant doses. A naturopath i was talking to suggested rotating the uses, alot of the manufacturers also state to work in a loading phase to build tolerance to the supplement as well as using for an on/off period which i have taken as a 4 weeks on 4 weeks off phase. Its also really good to go back to basics whilst not using preworkout, i start with longer warm ups, fewer sets building to more and more. I also use more basic routines with fundamental lifting, squats, bench, deadlift. helps me build up to higher weights and i find the muscle memory makes the results speak for themselves. Another thing to watch out for is sugar levels from protein, some of the proteins particular MASS WEIGHT GAINERS take alot of carbs from sugar and this is not the best. I opt for natural proteins or wheys to minimise this sugar intake. if your desperate for carbs look to substitute with meals as a change. Again these are my findings and what i have noticed. Not to be taken as word. JD

hey guys, Am a personal trainer (well used to be) and have got back into gym increasingly over the last 2 years. Pre workout supps that ive tried: take into account with alot of these substances or supplements it is all up to your personal make up. some things affect others some do not. JACKED - quite good however found the same effect, going crazy till all hours (smallest scooper i have ever seen, as big as a 5 cent piece and 3/4 inch deep) ultra concentrate. NO EXPLODE - limited effect for myself, quite edgy with a massive come down period, felt double as drained after heavy weights workout, also did not enjoy the flavour or taste. GASPARI SUPER PUMP - limited affect, sufficient pumps, no come down phase, however was not intense enough for what i demanded, also quite expensive. WHITE FLOOD - I found with this i had to time to intake perfectly, too soon it wore off before gym and then i became withdrawn, too late and i would get all itchy and uncomfortable. No allergic reactions however, quite strong limited pumps again ultra concentrate and small serves, lemon flavour was horrible. 1MR - Terrific product is all i can say!! amazing, pumps were crazy if any of you have seen dragon ball z its like super sayin mode. built size, dense muscle tissue, strength for days (sexual stamina haha) great product i found, only good flavour is fruit punch i found blue raspberry is fowl! bumped into a body builder friend of mine who was training another older body builder who said if he knew about 1mr 15 years ago or it was invented he wouldnt have used steroroids. so take that as you will, my view wasnt that extreme however i felt it was an amazing product. About to endeavour and try a new product ASSAULT pre workout supplement if anyone has tried it or got any info? got a much higher rating than 1MR and better value that i found. A good website to check out if any of you guys are new to working out, want to shred up, bulk up eat better etc etc. www.bodybuilding.com Team is super helpful, products are super cheap, postage to AUS is great value, especially if you split between couple of friends. Only catch is just like noted above they do not ship everything, however they will ship just about most things, minus protein and testosterone booster (tribulus - plant extract enhancer) and ZMA (zinc magnesium compound) that i have found. If any of you guys are interested this is what i will be taking for the next phase of my training for the next three months. Full meal plans (ripping up plus trying to add about 15kg of solid mass, current weight 80 - 83kg) -Optimum protein -MAX's weight gain formula protein -ASSAULT pre workout -BCAA's -L-carnitine -L-arginine -L-alanine Creatine Glutamine ZMA also with a proper meal plan. Bit of strictness but results hopefully will speak for themselves Hope that helped anyone who wanted to know. Check out the site, even if your a normal person like myself, its got great info, great help and cheap products, Win Win! Everything i have put above is from my own personal experience, before choosing a product research its ingredients and manufacturer properly. JD.

Hey guys, Looking for a set of Carbon Fibre door window visors (wind deflectors). I've searched high and low for these, have checked overseas sites, aus sites, had a mate check with origin to see whether they do it but they only had silvia stuff not skylines. I have found a supplier through EBAY, judging by the photos it seems to be the same guy which is on a few other websites (similar to EBAY however more bulk buy related) Just wanted to know whether anyone has any suppliers they know of? have them fitted (pics??) or have bought them from anywhere? Price is about $180 roughly fully shipped. Link is below if anyone wants to check them out or get some, the seller has had two lots through EBAY now so he appears to get them quite regularly. LINK: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SKYLINE-BNR32-R32-GTS-GTR-WINDOW-DEFLECTOR-VISOR-CARBON-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19c6370c3cQQitemZ110699678780QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts#ht_3348wt_937 Let me know what you think. Any feedback or information is heaps appreciated. Thanks guys. JD.

Thanks mate, Yeah I trawled through google images and heaps of online forums (driftworks, stance etc etc) found some things. Just interested to see some of the new GR6's in some different colours and how low ppl have them sitting and how the profile of the wheels look. I will keep searching or maybe just bite the bullet and just get some black ones. thanks for the pics mate. JD
-
Ahhh thanks mate. Yeah have looked around at few things, BBS, Stern, 34 Gtr wheels all from Japan but just CBF and i like the rota's modelled off some other lovely wheels haha. Also brand new and can get some really good tyre packages with them especially through Option 1. Thanks for the link mate. JD
