I would but my gtr is sitting there in pieces, waiting for my engine builder to finalise all his other obligations first. GRRR!! I might go and sit in it just to remember what it was like

I was gonna head out and watch a flick at the cinemas, but why head out when I can be entertained at home with this thread!!!

and thats why the Wolf ECU is generally first choice for raceteams worldwide over Motec. Pfft!!!!! The only problem with Motec(in my experience) is that many installers don't really know how to extract the most potential out of it, compared to say some simpler ECU's ummmm Wolf! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the wolf is good and offers great value for money, but to say it's the best is a little ill informed and optimistic don't you think.

thanks for the clarification guys, maybe we should settle this once and for all and meet half way and have a dyno shootout at say, Alice Springs!
-
I must of missed the other thread, but how did you go from 511 back to 438.7?
-
hell yeh! I've got my hand up for a new GTR as soon as they work out what the hell their doin?
-
Somehow I don't think his inmates are gonna be all that FUSSY! While he's out on bail, maybe he should buy himself something to bite down on

Thanks for the tip guys, I'll try that and see how it goes, the problem has been there since I bought the car, although it can be a good problem at times -

Sorry to temporarily hi jack your thread! Lal The problem you described early in this thread with the 4WD light coming on after goin for a drive then once I turn the car off and back on the light seems to go away, mine seems to be doin this, what do you think the problem is? The car has never been in a smash, I made sure by taking it to many different mechanics just to check thoroughly. Any ideas? Thanks -
Would anyone know what the most horsepower that has been made with those turbos each, not the graphs but real figures Thanks

A skyline i drive in reguarly uses a built RB26 with a 2.7 capacity, and associated headworks, he has a GT35R with a 1.06 housing and the car has good response low down in the rev range, seems to hold the power well all the way 7500-8000rpm. Has run a smidge over 470rwhp. Hope that helps

Hope it all works out for you, though I'd be constantly looking in the classifieds in here for things you may need. Little things that singlely don't cost much, but when you add em all up leaves a decent dent in your savings eg, AFM if you decide to use em, plenums etc. Happy horsepower hunting PS: Don't let money be the only reason for not doing a build, although take peoples advice about it seriously, i should know my build is starting to climb:(

no worries knore, but you go first;) *now where did I put those scissors*
-
Then along comes nissan, and embarrasses everyone
-
Hi Joey The rex is a 2000 model with the usual upgrades, nothing too extraordinary. Although I would like a sti though;) So do you have any mods to yours?
-
Hi All Sorry to temporarily hijack the thread, but Ive been following the forum for awhile now and thought I'd better introduce myself, i think I've seen you guys out and about before but have never come over to say hi, either cause I'm running late or something. I've had nissans before(a modded 200sx, R33 GTST) But in the stable at the moment resides a modded rex, and two bare spots, one for my Audi RS6 which I am dying waiting to arrive and the other spot for my R32 GTR which has spent more time in workshops then my home( its my weekend warrior) Now that I've got that outta the way I am definately hoping to join you guys in a cruise sometime in the near future provided rexes can come and play. Dru

Sounds like one of your intercooler pipes has blown off, and the comp has gone into limp mode.

I rang a few nissan dealers and none of them ever heard of a N1 block, huh figures. Guess I gotta keep searching. Thanks for the info GTR STi

Descr8, Congrats mate for having a go at doin something even when the odds(and opinions) are against you. I thoroughly believe you can achieve what your setting out to do otherwise I would be wasting my money on my build. To be original or a leader in a pack usually means doin it alone. Once again congratulations and I truly hope you achieve it mate. Paul PS: When you find someone who does custom cranks, could you please PM me?

Awesome, should be a great starting point for my build:)
