I had the same issue with my 33 my battery was going flat if it sat there for more then a day..... Yer probably isnt a bad idea to have a back up bonnet just incase cause we all know what cops can be like

Totally agreed could have been alot worse.... Look at it this way it just gave you a good excuse to get the carbon fibre bonnet :-P
