  1. Has anyone tried this? The callipers are out getting a rebuild at the moment and im thinking of having them stripped and anodised while theyre apart. They are R32 gtst callipers so cast alloy, does it make any difference to the finish/ can it be done?
  2. that is one sexy RB20
  3. I had this problem with my R32. Is it a manual conversion? Some guys mix and match driveshafts/weld them up themselves. Mine was about 50mm to short and hung out of the back of the gearbox which got interesting at speed, i ended up getting a custom one made up. it would pay to get your driveshaft balance checked. It could be many things, - Driveshaft uni joints - Diff bearings Has the diff been shimmed?, this can chew out the diff carrier and cause slop in the assembly. get under your car and give the halfshafts a good shake, if there is a bit of slop that could cause it.
  4. For those who have done this, is the spline count on the s15 half shafts the same as the r32 ones/has anyone tried fitting an r32/r33 gtst half shaft into a helical centre. I have 2 sets of r32 gtst half shafts so I'm wondering If the 2 shorter ones could be madeto fit the s15 centre, that way I can stay with the 5x1 drive shafts. Also I hear that the helical centres are great on the street and track but how do they go for a bit of drifting? Please only share if you run a helical and actually know.
  5. All i am really concerned about is if the non abs R33 pinion will go into the R32 abs housing. I have heard of different pinion lengths and bearing types. The diff is out of a mates car and only has 60,000 ks on it so its pretty tidy. The car is mostly street driven and i just need a decent diff that doesnt rattle and viabrate. viscous diffs arent that bad as long as you dont expect too much fron them or drive like a complete monkey.
  6. Hi guys. Im wanting to swap the diff insert/pumpkin with matching 4.1 crown and pinion from an r33 into an r32 diff housing. My current diff has done a few k's and is getting a but tired and rumbly. I have done the usual google searching so know about different sized crown wheel bolts etc but haven't managed to get a straight answer. The r33 diff is not abs whereas my r32 one is. It will be sent off to the diff guy to get setup properly but don't want to dick around machining bits just wondering if it's an easy swap over, particularly with the pinion. It would be nice to hear from someone who knows and has either done or tried the swap.
