yeah a half hour drive doesnt help, but having owned a 320kw mk3 supra and just got rid of it to get the skyline did give me some experience with light rear ends. will do some reading.

if it means anything, the previous owner said he blew the stock turbo, so went to just jap and paid around $2200 for a upgrade bolt on... even though the turbo still has nissan written on it.

from driving mates cars is why i wanted that figure, but then the other night when i drove a 340kw 34 gtt and had no traction makes me think twice about building an engine and going high power, if I can get the std bottom end to 300kw safely (I know safely isnt a word used when talking bout stock bottom ends lol). which is why im wondering if it is safe to do 85 with my setup, and if its even worth it? and also, I know what you mean about my stock turbo, ive seen gt30's do less then that lol. I am not 100% its stock, think it MAY me highflowed (if so, then i can chuck more boost through it) what I am gonna do is pull the dump off when I get a chance and put a magnet to the exh turbine, hopefully it sticks

Hey guys. so just a quick rundown to whats been done to my 33 gtst: Haltech platinum pro 850cc injectors fmic walbro in tank pump haltech boost solenoid intake 3" catback (turbo to cat is still stock) on 12psi im making 233kw atw with full boost at 3500rpm (pretty sure turbo is stock, looks like it is, so wont go over 12psi) at the end of the day, I want around 400kw atw, which is why im starting to search into building either a 30 block or 25 block (30 block seems more the better choice though). in the mean time I want to get a bit more oomph out of the car, so what I want to do is just some tomei poncams on, upgrade the turbo (either t04z or gt3076, but the 3076 wont get me to my final power goal down the track I dont think). at this stage, do you guys think putting in the haltech flex fuel and getting it tuned for full 85 tune and the 98 tune so I can then use 85 when I want? I was told by someone I need an 85 safe pump and injectors, but my tuner said I can do it with whats on it but didnt say if my injectors (power enterprise 850cc) and pump is 85 safe? cheers for any advice, just interested to see what people reckon, getting that extra power out of ya cars always exciting.

Hey mate. Dont really want a sub in may car au, i was bored one day so grabbed some 6x9 spacers and chucked in 3 way 6x9 on the parcel shelf and put in good 6" 3 ways in the doors. Sound good, once i put my amp in will hopefully sound alot better lol!

true. well maybe for my needs an fc is all thats needed. also, seeing that only real performance mods atm are bigger turbo and bleed valve (will be replaced with ebc soon) when i get an ecu and tune, whats a good boost/ power I can sit at with stock internals, injectors etc? thx guys! -

This is why i dont know if i should get haltech etc. because the thing i was saying about fc's is thy i was told they are advertised as an ecu etc but are missing many features you need/want in an ecu! -

ok cool thx. so if the boost guage is reading 5mhgh or whatever it is, is that ok? or should i give the bleed valve a few clicks lower for safety? whats a good price a power fc can be picked up for? i want to find one at a good price so i can then take it to a tuner to install and tune etc. cheers for all the help! -

basically i would be happy hitting around 300-350rwkw in the future, would a power fc do the job? I saw those nistune boards but am unsure if they can get that sort of power safely? -

ohh k lol thought it was psi ;P i feel dumb haha anyway. I am pretty sure still stock ecu, I think the guys basically blown the stock turbo, so went to just jap and told them to give him something better to bolt on! the blitx bov isnt doing anything atm and the stock bov is the operational bov and properly plumbed so thats sorted. and yea hopefully soon will get a tune, any suggestions on a piggyback etc? power fc? ive heard mixed things on many piggybacks to use, whats got the best proven results on my car (r33 gtst)? thanks alot guys! -
Gday guys. Trying to sort out all this backfiring with my r33 gtst. Its a 95 series 1. Mods are a pod filter, previous owner added a turbosmart bleed valve, and apparently blew the stock turbo so added an upgraded (or high flowed, forgot what he said) turbo. Has a blitz bov on the piping, but its disconnected (no vac line) and was told its got a blocking plate on it which i may double check tomorrow, but the cars still running the stock recirc bov. The problems i am getting is the car sometimes backfires and can shoot flames after hitting boost and tapping the accelerator etc, and sometimes when i hit the throttle and come on boost it has two or three pops and loses power during those pops, like some sort of misfire. Also like many other people, the revs SOMETIMES drops below 500 or so then creep back up. Any ideas? Crappy plugs/ coils etc? Cheers. Ps the factory boost gauge says I'm doing around 5 pounds but the car pulls hard, would the gauge be reading correctly?cheers.

Hi guys, finally got my dream car (after like 5 years lol) a 1995 r33 gtst (highflowed turbo, 92,000kms etc, clean car!) and I have been doing alot of audio work on my other cars, and since i have alot of stuff left over, thought I might aswell do a nice system for this car, but nothing over the top! I was thinking about putting my fusion reactor 900w 4channel amp in to run the front and rear speakers, and maybe put my fusion reactor 12' sub with 800w mono in the boot too. Im gonna go and get some nice 6" (if thats what I can fit in the doors) speakers and 6x9's for the parcel shelf. What I wanted to know, is has anyone taken out the factory amp and replaced it with an aftermarket amp? the car atm has some ancient double din headdeck which im gonna change too. if you guys can take the time to explain where the factory amp is and how to replace with an aftermarket one would be awesome!! in the boot, whatever cover that would have covered where the back of the seats are and the battery is missing, so getting into that sort of area is simple. thanks alot guys!

gday guys, hopefully getting an r33 gts-t soon and will be garaging it for a couple months so I can do a bit of work to it. Im a mechanic so anything i need to do im capable of doing, but need some opinions. my first step when I get it is to remove the engine and do all of its internals first, so thats out of the way, then im gonna put a top mounted turbo on etc. but what I want your opinions on is whats some good internal components available for the 33 gts-t? i see alot of tomei forged pistons and con rods etc, are they a good quality to withstand a fair bit of hp? pretty much I want to make the internals of the engine alot stronger then stock to take more hp, but am not looking at drag racing level, just a good powerful street tune. if you can forward me to website that are good id appreciate it, as I have been on a lot of sites that have too many discontinued products. cheers.
