  4. Hi Nathan. Thanks so much for the tip. I'll send you a message now. I also have the PPSR cert from when I bought it. I would recommend anyone buying a car to check it out (it was $4). Cheers, Tim PPSR Search Certificate 2231577318960001.pdf
  5. Hi Wongy, thanks for your question. I never got these off Craig (previous owner), I didn't ever ask for it to be honest. The previous owner was meticulous, and trustworthy, and the car spoke for itself. Probably doesn't validate your question Wongy, Apologies! In lieu, I found the PPSR cert. I ran on the car before I bought it. I'll upload this when I get home. This has the VIN, Engine#, and compliance date. Cheers, Tim.
  6. Hi All, Unfortunately, it has come time for me to sell my daily BNR32! I'm getting married in November and I'm simultaneously starting a small business (and need to raise a little capital). History: I purchased this car about 2 years ago off a guy called Craig (I don't think he was a SAU member). I think I looked at about 15 different 32's at the time none of them to my liking. I've been driving my 32 for about 30 minutes to/from work each day. It certainly hasn't had any track days while I owned it, and I know the previous owner didn't take it out either. In terms of work being done on it, it was all under the premise of 'tasteful' and 'subtle'. Basically, my brief to my tuner was always 'if a policeman opens the bonnet, I don't want them to even think that work had been done on the car'. Hence, the original wheels and height remained. Notwithstanding, the car has enough poke to really enjoy (its on ethanol, and making 280awkw). In the same sentence, I got pulled up twice in this car (for a 'random' check), and there was never any issues! My mandate is/was successful! When I first got the car, I ensured my tuner (David MacDermid) from DMD tuning went through the car with a fine tooth comb. He was really impressed with the engine health (compression) and overall status of the car. A really good basis for the tune. Conscious of security (who isn't with these things), I actually flew Chris Rogers down from BNE to personally install an alarm/immobilizer combination. He was extremely professional, and well worth the money. In true Chris fashion, security electronics are very very very well installed. In terms of what I want for this car, I believe it is worth $24k, as I think this car has a really good heritage, and has been well maintained and shown that it deserved. Despite that, I am willing for movement by 5 percent. I am in no hurry to sell this car. If you're not willing to spend $24k on a GTR, you probably shouldn't be looking. If you have any questions, please call me on 0421 730 138. I will not let you drive it unless you have a drivers licence, and I will not let you drive it without a holding deposit. I will not accept swaps or joy riders. Don't even bother. Lastly, I will be meeting people away from my home, for obvious reasons. I am located near Eltham. Recent Car Thefts

Hey Terry. I grew up on a farm and know my way around an under and over. Potentially sit on the porch and hit them with a scatter gun. Secure parking, soon to be. But whats the upside for these guys? You could have parted out my old one for MAYBE 8k. Thats like 1 months work?! Tell me more about the tech forum.

In the same breath. If you do know who is doing it, please speak up. Imagine the thing you love and worked hard for was stolen / damaged. If youre the lads doing it, working is not that hard.....
  9. Hi all, It has been more and more apparent to me that victoria is getting horrible for skyline car thefts. So much so that im questioning owning one altogether. I've had one stolen, and another attempted recently. I'm rather disgruntled at vicpol for the lack of effort on thier behalf, im also concerned on how you're treated by insurance mobs after the event. I find myself taking ridiculous counter measures to avoid and deter thieves. This thread is not really looking for an answer, but more after a healthy discussion on any points above. I.e. do you have any tips? Can we do anything as a club? For instance: What is to stop an insurance funded project where (desirable) cars are baited with GPS units? Specially in conjunction with vicpol? Cheers, T

  17. i got no idea, i just pulled the plug from the 2stage actuator, now its reading .6 kg/cm^2 im confused!! it cant be leaking, wouldnt leaking cause less boost??
  18. Fellas, quick question (just searched a fair whack, but no one seems to have this problem?) just installed a manual boost controller into my GT-T, and I was getting .7 Bar prior to, now I'm getting almost 0.9 Bar. i also cleaned the panel filter. the manual boost controller is all the way anti clockwise (fully closed), so effectively my circuit hasnt changed. thoughts?? 21. been millions of topics to that my friend. you need to search. search for consult, lambda or o2 sensor.
  22. they're always real tight, with the exhaust heat expanding and contracting consistently, it would just about weld it in there after 100k kms. the 22mm spark plug remover was the trick for me - couldn't recommend it more. Tim
  23. this one seems a little over my head. i might take this one to a mechanic :S
  24. Hi all. while boosting (12-13psi max), my turbo seems to make a strange whooshing noise which isnt consistent. when your on boost and its working normally its just a whooosh kind of sound. mine is the same whooshing sound, but it alternates a smaller tone while doing it. any idea? could it be the turbo on the fritz? Tim
