  1. Ive looked and looked about this! has anyone got any experience with cleaning the inside of their car. someone told me armourall was quite abrasive on some surfaces / leather / pleather etc. can someone give me a good recommendation for a solvent for cleaning interiors in skylines? im pretty meticulous about the inside of mine. Tim
  2. this is all bad news, i dont even drive like a knob. nature of the beast i suppose. nah, dont need the rims - i dont like the look they give the car. they're 18"
  3. i dont own a 32, but theoretically you would just need one to kill the ign wire. you would have to use a relay system and some big gauge wire. i doubt you would need 2 switches, unless you want a master kill switch (ie. + terminal from the battery). hope that helps. T
  4. Fellas: 100% confirmed that NGK / NTK part no: OZA395-E2 can fit in an r34 GT-T and does work. 100% confirmed the plug DOESN'T FIT, however the switch is extremely simple. im getting MUCH better fuel economy since installing the Zirconia 3-Wire, 22mm O2 sensor for the 32 / 33. stop paying $220 for the original one!!! Tim
  5. Hey guys. i know prior to actually taking the plunge, there was a few comments round here which alluded to the fact that you may be able to install a OZA395-E2 type plug (NGK/NTK) on an R34 GT-T (Neo). Rather than forking out the huge price for a Nissan one, and after discussing with Kudos motorsports on the phone for a little while - i took the plunge and purchased the 395 plug and put it in my car. few notes for those doing it after me: 1) disconnect plug + take off the shield which holds the o2 sensor plug. (10mm spanner - 1 bolt). - 2) definitely definitely do NOT use a regular spanner unless you know what your doing (or unless its offset) - you will burr off the o2 sensor, then your flucked. 3) in addition to above, try buying a proper o2 sensor socket (22mm off ebay - they're cheap as). 4) in addition to the above x 2, i used a spark plug remover tool. who knew that some spark plugs were 22mm? 5) spray WD40 on the thread, give it some hits with a hammer, spray wd40, hit repeat, warm up the car, let it cool down, hit, spray. 6) it will eventually come loose, it may not look funcked - but if your reading this thread, it probably will be. 7) now, while i was doing this above the plug was disconnected from the ECU / car....(as per #1). Cut & strip the wires (3 wires) about 3-4 inches below the plug on the o2 sensor. 8) get your new plug, cut its plug off and strip the wires - tighten new o2 sensor into dump pipe. 9) join the wires in the following manner (it obvious): Black -> Black, White -> White, Black -> Black. (doesn't matter which black goes to which black, crimp that shit nice and tight. 10) put the heat shield back on the car (10mm), join the plug back up with the o2 sensor, and join it back on the heat shield (should still fit as we kept the original o2 r34 plug). 11) clean up engine bay, make sure stuff isnt sitting on rocker cover etc. 12) bridge the consult port and rev above 2,000 rpm and make sure it passes as per the manual! 13) celebrate!! to note: original part number: 22690-AA00 new part number: OZA395-E2 to clarify: this is a Zirconia 3 wire, 22mm thread which the 33 / 32 boys are using. to triple clarify: this definately works on an r34 with proof that it fixes fuel economy. if youve done this and havent fixed your fuel economy: then its either: - AFM (clean this out, specially if youve changed your filter). - AAC Valve (search) - coilpacks - sparkplugs (pull them out and check the condition on them, heaps of guides) - tuning (get a nistune - get it dyno'd) - your right foot (control it). hope this helps all. 9. Hi all. just wanted to introduce myself and my new 98 R34 S1 GT-T. ive been hanging round cars for quite some time. i used to own a 73' Celica TA22 - which i put a 4a-ge bigport in (with exhaust etc etc). i used to stop around toymods quite a bit prior to this. now i own a skyline with a 3" blitz turbo back exhaust, pod and turned up turbo (r32 solenoid??) fuel efficiency is horrible on this thing, i think its the lack of tune - so i plan on returning the airbox and removing the pod (putting a nice panel filter in there), and putting on a return flow FMIC on the front. shortly after that, throwing a nistune in there and getting it turned asap! i dont want any attention from the cops therefore im quietening down my exhaust (which is too loud atm). i plan on replacing the cannon to a nice oval muffler and having twin tips. question: if i have twin tips facing down, will this quieten the sound coming out of the car (ie. sound is logarithmic, and based on intensity (3dB is a double in intensity) - so therefore if the sound is directional (ie. throwing straight at the microphone from a cannon, surely hitting the ground / dissapating) would quieten it down. is there a legal limit to how far it points down?? i had a talk to a fella at daalder exhausts in box hill, he wasnt on the same page i was on - suggested a whole new exhaust. i dont have boost controllers / turbo timers or none of that crap and i drive it responsibly, giving it the occasional squirt once in a while (not into burn outs etc) anyway, i have plenty more questions which hopefully i can ask wednesday night (does any one mind if i come along??) thanks and nice to meet you! Tim
  10. Fellas, long time reader, first time poster here! a quick brief - wanted a Black or White GT-T r34 for quite some time, have been looking for a while. want a clean (not too modd'd) manual...for about 14-15k. found 2 at SEI auto in Dandenong... as of 11 June 11, black one without plates. took it for a drive, felt good - gearbox tight, responsive, no rust, no leaks, smooth rev up / down, shocks on the front at about 90%, tires in good nick etc. didnt test the white one however. ive read a few peoples thoughts on the trader - mixed reviews, had some people who have found some winners and some lemons also. has anyone seen these two there? im sure you guys are always sticky beaking so i wouldn't mind your opinion!! thanks in advance fellas.
