Seriously though, is it connected by splicing into the 20 or so wires that come out from the ECU ??. If so, you should be able to at least determine which function its intercepting (without dismantling the ecu, but that would be fun ?? (eg tach, afm, ???) of course that needs a schematic, but its probably a R33 std ecu. humble, i'm good, but missing the staj

Carry the kids about during the week, hoon on weekends ??

Just a general question It seems that nobody in Victoria does Stagea compliance. I know QLD and WA are doing them, and if you look at the number of stageas for sale in those states, there are heaps. Is it because 1 - No demand in VIC ?? 2 - Just as easy to ship from QLD anyway etc... I reckon there could be a market here in VIC ?? what do we think ?? cheers

Because I am an upfront person, I assumed that the offer put on the table initially was what the lucky purchaser thought the car was worth. I suppose the bottom line is, I am not a car salesman. Yup, all compliance is, is the "right" to get the car rego'ed. The RAWS scheme means that it is recognised in all states. If the Car fails the RWC after leaving the compliance shop, then the shop could possibly lose their RAWS licence (assuming you have'nt touched the car), as compliance means that the car "complies" with all Australian ADRs (Design rules), which , by implication, means that it is roadworthy. However, if you've added bigger wheels, exhaust, etc... after compliance, but BEFORE the roadworthy, then there is no guarantee it will pass. Do these things AFTER you've got your rego.

Oh crap !!!! Dear all I've had a disagreement with a kangaroo, and so need some parts. The front drivers side quarter panel is pushed back about 5 - 10 mm and so the driver side door is only opening about 1/4 the way, I can just squeeze out. Of course the headlight assembly is cactus. So Not really sure if the panel is repairable, or the extent of structural damage (steering unaffected), but I would like are some good contacts for stagea bits. Worse case is 1 - Headlight assembly 2 - Drivers side front panel 3 - Maybe the front bar bracket All in all, a really crappy morning. I suppose I'm lucky i didn't hit the thing full front on. PS dont argue with kangaroos !!

I went through MJR in QLD and I actually asked them about the dimmer when I got the car and they said it wasn't a mandatory ADR for compliance ?? Either that, or they forgot too and were just BSing I actually find my dash too bright at night, I actually prefer a dark dash, to help my night vision.
