I reckon its a gearing thing, revs drop HEAPS going from 1st to 2nd. And SK, how to remove the "2 stage boost" ?? Whats impressive is the accel from 100 - 140, its pretty good!

I am assembling a small doc on the suspension upgrades for the staj and need the following 1 - Swaybars - got the whiteline part # and ployurethane bushes to suit 2 - Springs - looks like the stockies will do with machining of strut 3 - Shocks (need part #) Fronts bilsteins - GTR fronts - need to get groove machined in struts ?? , any more details SK (about 40mm lower is plenty) Rears Bilsteins - GTST rears - another groove machined ?? (help SK), about 40mmn lower 4 - Front camber kit (need part #) 5 - Front adjustable castor arms (need part #) 6 - Rear camber kit (need part #) Once collated, happy to put the doc in the right place Many thanks :Bang:

Thought I would start a Stagea Intercooler thread, so here goes The stock Intercooler placement is CR*P, and so relocation/replacement is a viable option I see lots of 600x300x76 coolers, is there enough room for one of these or is a 2nd hand GTR cooler a better bet. Any hints on piping etc, how easy to do Many thanks

Just a question Got a RS-FOUR (DAyz) Std 16x225 wheels If doing moderate braking from about 120kph, i get a vibration in the steering wheel (not voilent, just a slight shudder). But there is no wheel balance problem No pulsing in the brake pedal Had runout on disks checked, seems within tolerance, but the disks have a small hot-spot. Wheels checked, are ok I'll torque the wheel nuts tonight, whats a good setting for the Staj ?? And SK if you read this, can you tell me the part # for those bilsteins for the Staj ?? You also mentioned machining a groove in the struts to allow adjusting of the ride height, can a semi competent suspension shop do this for me ??. Anyone in Melb to recommend ?? thanks heaps everyone !!!

1 - Depends on how much, haven't done this to my stagea yet, but had a VR4 (loved that car!!), but when I got it, the prev owner had lowered it about 50 mm (around 2 inch) by cutting the springs (dont know how he got a roadworthy) and it was diabolical. The poor shocks had no hope of controlling the rebound. I then spent about 3K on full whiteline kit and konis - it was great then. But I wouldn't get konis again though, I had the car for 100,000 K and had the konis rebuilt 3 times ( and no rallying). 2 - My stag has 65K on it and the shocks are gone !!. 3 - We need to put together a recommendation, ie - rollbars Fronts - adjustable whiteline - ?? part number Rear - adjustable whiteline - ?? part number F&R alignment settings here - shocks Front Bilstein part number ?? (SK can you nominate a good supplier) Rears Bilstein F&R alignment settings here (if any different to previous) - springs Front Kings part number ?? Rear Kings part number ?? Definately F&R alignment here (camber/castor kits as well??) Would be great to put this info into a central area cheers

I've got one too Same as sydneykids, blue, with 2 sunroofs sat nav. Otherwise completely stock. Added a K&N filter and this made a noticable difference after 5,000 RPM, No dyno results yet though.

When does the new RAWS licences get issued ?? have 400 been consumed already ??

Very happy with my Stagea RS-Four 1997 model, but others have spoken about lowering etc... I hope others haven't cut springs, but after some recommendations 1 - Springs - about 25mm lowered ride height, probably a progressive spring 2 - Shocks, after firm (not rock hard, eg Tein). Rebuildable, ?? 3 - Rollbars - are the stockies ok, given that I'll be firming up the suspension anyway. 4 - Wheels - 235/17 are probably all I need. Would like GTR lookalikes cheers

I'll post some pics of my 97 blue stagea stock wheels K&N panel stock exhaust stock suspension - bilsteins & springs soon (anybody got info on springs) 2 sunroofs satellite nav (useful if I ship the car back to japan and drive it around there :wassup: No compliancing issues, from MJR Motorsport in Brisbane. Is sydneykid doing his own ?? Was going to get the NEO version, but was worried about DOTARS compliance as most people were doing the pre NEO versions. I was glad I didn't go for the NEO as it would probably still be in the shop. Very pleased, comfortable sleeper. A bit slow off the mark but 100-140kph acceleration is very good indeed. Just needs firmer suspension a bit lower decent 17" R34 wheels would be really nice (any offers ?) decent exhaust (3") decent intercooler and a little bit more boost (10lb) would like 160KW at the wheels, but will need more mods cheers Michael Q [email protected]

Cool, really interested in your Stagea progress. Had my auto since Feb and love it. No sideways glances from cops etc, like the sleeper concept. Would like to know where you got your springs from, as i am looking at doing the lowering as well, will make a real diff (appearance wise). Apparently there are bilsteins available for stagea as well. My other question is how interchangable are the GTS-4 parts ?. Especially, shocks springs etc... Apparently the longer wheelbase of the stagea can cause some probs ??

Had my stagea since Feb Bought it fully complied, I was wondering about the NEO version, but went for the 1997 RS4. Looks great, dual sunroofs/blue. Just cars gave me a $990 per annum deal, but I have got a good record (rating, no accident claims for years and years etc, and over 40)
