The plugs are out, and it still struggles to turn over... Hard to even turn over with socket off the front of the crank.... I just dont want to comit my self to pulling it out and nothing is wrong.. He has alway said it has been laim as when driving and would get beaten easily by another std skyline... How would you check the start motor?? Pull it out??? As the battery is now brand new, fully charged?????

Another thing i forgot to mention is that the Exhaust cam is out of sync by 3 teeth on the timing belt / alignment at top dead centre.. I think it is more than a starter hey.. Do you know how we can check the starter motor at all?? Just seems odd that even the engine is very hard to turn over, even by hand?? I have never heard / seen this before.. That is why i ask before commiting to pullin the engine out....

Here is the scenario: Mate driving his car down free-way... Car then dies (lights / engine) Lights come back on, but engine stalled... Goes to start engine again, but it is noisey.... So get it towed... - Try to start now, struggles to turn over when cold like very, very slowly.. (Drains battery fast) Would it be big end bearing / or the likes.. HEEELLP!!! Car is std with only a BLITZ FMIC / 3" exhaust / Pod filter... Std Boost etc... :throwup: HEEELLLPPP!!!!!! - Have put new battery in, as old one was dry, checked, throught it may have been regulator in Alternator had failed, causing over charge of battery, causing it to over charge and dry out, and cause alternator to get thrashed out and become noisey.. NOT that

Thanks for that.. I think we will be doing the complete RB-26 engine swap, with RB25 sump and 5speed box.. Can get all this for around the $6,500.oo mark, also with loom, computer A/F meters etc.. This i think would be the way to go.. As we eventually want around the 300kW mark at the wheels.. In a VL this should be a pretty good combo... With this in mind, you think there is an easier way of doing this, as i have heard the std RB-30 bottom ends aren't strong enough for this power in std form. Appreciate all your feed back guys...

Yeah i hear you all!!! What sort have power have people seen with the std RB-30 engine with the RB26 head?? Just trying to compare this to the RB-25det swap? Which i am in more favour of... As the RB-25DET are a stronger engine standard right??? Sorry for all the q's just trying to figure out the best way to go, before i commit to this guy... : )

Just helping a mate out here with an engine or head swap on the RB-30ET...Not sure which way he wants to go, and money i dont think will be an issue.. He has burnt a valve out i think and is now wanting to upgrade.. He is undecided to either go a complete RB-25DET engine/g-box swap in the car, or doing the RB-26DETT head on the RB-30 Turbo engine... If using the RB-25DET we will use the Hi-Flow Turbo of the engine now.. Any advise out there??? Please...

I know this has been possibly covered a few times now.. BUT... I am in the midst of putting together a turbo setup for my mates R-33 GTS-t Skyline.. Here is what i am doing.. - HKS 3037s Kit - S/Steel Head Gasket 1.6mm - 750cc Injectors - SARD Adj Reg - Power FC - Vernier Cam gears - Forged Pistons Now i am stuck for what camshafts i should run.. Should i run the HKS 256 camshafts or go a bit bigger?? Or a combination of 256in / 264ex The heads for now will remain std valvetrain.. Let me know your thoughts.. Goal is around the 350kW @ wheels or there abouts..

Anyone got any good shots of the days proceedings?? As i couldn't make it there.. How did GT Autosounds S-15 go?? As i cant find a site yet uploaded the pics of the days event...

Yeah this is a rising rate under boost.. You set your base pressure.. Then in increases pressure from there on under boost.. These need to go ASAP....

In the little booklet i think you set it on #4... The further you go around the earlier you clamp the signal back to the ecu, giving it the car a leaner mix, as it thinks it is passing less air through the Air flow meter than it actually is..... :flamed:

Cross-over pipe, i assume you are talking about the Aluminium pipe from the T/Body over the Rocker Cover??? :headspin: As i do have this pipe if you need it..
