  1. Over $3K including tuning? Wow. Exxy.. How much dyno time was required? Lol, Sarge.
  2. Does it fry all the way to 4th?
  3. The bore barely changes doesnt it? Just the stroke changes, and it gets decked?
  4. Having an ecu first will allow you to get better gains from any modifications you do afterwards
  5. As far as im aware, apexi dont produce them "new" anymore. But a bit of looking should find you a decent second hand one. As for pricing.. Depends on many factors, but anywhere from $800 - $1200.
  6. Sorry, should have explained better. It's an aftermarket ecu produced my apexi (as stated above). Its an older type ecu, without things like individual cylinder tuning, but.. It is tried and proven to be a top performing ecu. Almost everyone can tune it, and it can basically handle anything thrown at it. Its only real limitations are those from the afm's that are used.. But there are ways around it But wait.. There's more! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/64201-faq-apexi-powerfc-frequently-asked-questions/ Have a read through the FAQ and the external link that is in there, great stuff
  7. Definately have to take this results with some sceptism, but the potential is there. Lith, agreed with e85 400wkw would be achievable. Hopefully when r33_racer (sorry i dont know your name, im quite a n00b to the skyline community) gets the gtx on the 3.4, will see some similar results. Anyway, enough of me hijacking the thread. Thanks for the input guys
  8. Great stuff, do you have them intank or external? How did you go about fitting them, not really a drop in? I had a quick search, but only found discussions on the use of them, not so much the fitting etc. My walbro is fairly quiet (although I dont really have much to compare it to), so if its even quieter, fantastic! Veyron.. 4 of these pumps all together isn't it? Ok, so some results for the GTX3076R .. Turns out it probably can flow enough for ~400rwkw but with all things, we should take this on board with some speculation. I mean like seriously, a Focus with over 400fwkw... With an intercooler the size of a cereal box? C'mon... Lol. Ok, enough jibber-jabber, linky time! http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=497486 ^ Bit of a comparo with a GT3076R. ^ The focus with 600whp.. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2110277 ^ Fairly good write up on some of the GTX range. You can see here why I'm pretty confident of the GTX3076R hitting ~400rwkw. ^ And finally, an RB25 making 534whp. I know, its not *quite* 400rwkw, but farout it's close! Awesome stuff. I'm drooling at the thought of getting one now..
  9. I'll be selling my PFC soon top condition with a sexy hand controller Really depends on what you plan on doing down the road, ecu choice might be a little easier if you have a future goal in mind.
  10. Lol. ^^^^^^ this. That photo is sweet.. Belongs on a calendar or post card.
  11. I dont think on here.. I know the supra forums have some results, and also the S2K guys have some results too. A search in google gave me a lot of BS, if i have time later when i get home i'll post the links. Have them in favourites on the lap top on the phone atm, sorry mate! Marko - thanks for the reply. I'll go through and have another read, i remember reading that they are stock items in AMG's, etc? The flow rate is awesome.. Price isnt too much of a drama, would rather hold out a bit longer to get good equipment. Feel free to post up how you go fitting it
  12. Agreed. I think i have everything needed to achieve it, or atleast get close. Head has had some decent work done, although im steering towards oversize valves to help out a bit. And some decent cams. Im still reading up on threads relating to e85 though.. I hear good things about pierburg (spelling?) fuel pumps..
  13. So in other words, take the figures on the compressor map with a grain of salt? Bummer.. lol.
  14. Awesome! Mine is going on a spool 2.8 kit. They're a nice bit of kit, too Thanks Lith, will look into the FP range. I know the evo guys have good results with them. N1, makes two of ua mate! i hope to push that boundary soon and if the results look promising on the 3.4, even better
  15. Sweet! What stroker is it?
  16. Hey dude, no offence, but using the search function instead of making a new thread for each question, is probably a little better.. should give you what you need. Either that or google.
  17. Was definately thinking the e85 route aswell. IIRC, some of the supra guys have them running 26psi, so i figure the odd jump to 29psi would be ok. And because of the 1.06a/r, EGT temps *should* be fairly acceptable.. I think? Wouldnt the gt3076 be out of its ideal efficiency? I mean, i havent seen one go past ~24psi, but then again i havent looked for that exact figure.. My build should be done around september, so might push it to 29psi to see if its achievable.. For science-sake Scotty, glad to see im not the only one! i know the gtx are marginally slower coming onto boost, but i figure the divided housing mated to a twin scroll mani should bring it back to bee's dick of difference. Thanks for the input gents!
  18. I think i need to jump on this bandwagon..
  19. "RB29 wow". Great thread, and that graph is pure car porn. Hey question for you guys.. Im currently building my engine, and a thought crossed my mind.. The gtx3076r's compressor map shows it can flow around 65lbs/min of air at ~29psi. Could this translate into a hopeful ~530 - 550rwhp? Or ~400rwkw? I mean, could it be done for sake of argument.. The housing configuration i figured would be a 1.06 T4, most likely divided and mated to a twin scroll manifold. Any thoughts guys?
  20. I needed a new rad, and at the time i could get the larger mspec for cheaper than the stock replacement, so i figured why not But awesome temps you got there with the stockie
  21. Car, engine, current modification level? What about getting your handling/braking sorted first? More important to be able to stop your car than go fast. Otherwise, search in the dyno thread results for a power level you might want to achieve, then have a read of the mods required to do it. Then base your purchase by priority if you have to do it part by part. ie; before getting a gt3076r, think about getting a ecu (afm or maf?), then exhaust, fmic if you feel the need, injectors, pump, etc.
  22. I currently have an Mspec too. Cools fantastic, perhaps a little too well. Generally sat on 78 - 80, 85 with the aircon going on a 38 degree day. You retaining the stock shroud with the Fenix?
  23. Haha, my bad mate
  24. HKS GT-RS in top condition?
  25. 200 - 240ish rwkw is quite achievable on a budget. Search using those figures and see how you go
