  1. Lol. Yeah pretty normal.. One of the reasons that a lot of gts-t owners go the front facing plenum. Plus makes changing spark plugs a breeze
  2. I wouldnt worry too much. Cross over pipes always soak up a bit of heat. How does the rest of the piping feel? Any other noticable differences in the car, engine behaviour, etc? Does beg to ask the question though... Do you always go for drives, stop, pop your hood, then start feeling pipes?
  3. Nevermind me, just did some reading up on the subject. Funny, I never really put much thought towards how crank throw affects displacement. Oops OP, hows the car coming along? Did you settle on turbo choice yet?
  4. My friend that has a R32 GTR (everything stock on engine bar FMIC) has a Fujitsubo 3 inch and sounds awesome. I think dumps are Tomei. The rest is Fujitsubo. Hi-flow cat, too. But in saying that.. I think HKS Superdragger sounds tough.
  5. Perhaps look at new coil packs? New plugs gapped to 0.8? Hows your coil pack loom looking? In the DIY, Tutorials forum there is a stickied thread about misfire on an rb. Have a read, might find your answer in there?
  6. .. Double penetrated.
  7. Are the rods not shorter in a stroker engine?
  8. Ah ok. Will have to do some more reading up on the subject then
  9. Props to the new acquisition always been a fan of the 350 shape. Be a nice car when sorted! Will be keeping a close eye on this. Ty.
  10. +1 ^ We're only giving advice to help your car drive better, feel better, and function better. If you dont want a 30, look into a spool 2.8 stroker kit. 5K and you get everything, fully balanced and made straight from billet cores. Plus rated to 1500hp. More reliable than putting on 10 condoms at once. If you're spending 2K - 4K on forged stuff, why not go that bit extra? Seems like a sound investment. Sure, you wont make an extra 100rwkw, but when you have a dyno graph that looks like a V8, you'll know you have an *overall* better car. Im in much the same boat. I dont want a 30 either, so this is a great option and i'll be going the gtx3582r too Food for thought..
  11. Correct me if im wrong, but with a stroker, because the rod/piston's dont actually have to travel as far, then there is less force/momentum being created.. Therefore you can actually rev higher.
  12. D'oh! Cant edit post on phone. Was meant to include, "Jokes aside, 2.8 for response/torque improvement. No point in trying for wank-factor if ou cant see it."
  13. True enough i suppose.. But my mind is set
  14. ... Not many have an RB28 in a 33 though. A different kind of wank factor; just the type im after.
  15. That's freakin' awesome! Thanks for posting that up. However, not too keen on encasing the exhaust like that.. Take a look at honda prelude front ends. Not sure which year it is, but it came with some sort of air guide over the radiator, with two ducts on the inner edge of the headlights, flowing *over* the guide. Scavenging effect perhaps? Indeed, i shall stop whoring your thread..
  16. +1 . If you go the right places, one could get a stroker kit for similar pricing as normal forged items. Plus you can brag that you have a stroked Skyline add to that whole "wow" factor you're after.
  17. The stroker kit was in regards to the gtx even with the new comp wheel, a turbo that size will still be a little slow coming on to boost on a 2.5. But thats just my view Thanks, will have a look.
  18. I believe my R33 had a nismo 1 way, i cant remember to be honest.. Came with the car. Like anything, regular servicing is always a good idea. Cold it wasnt bad. Mine had diff clunk when doing low-speed, low-load turns.. But it was only slight and before you knew it, you wouldnt even know its there. Sorry for the necro, just thought this was relevant.. Plus interested in what the OP decided to go with, and how it performed
  19. "Dey mak all da chikz want me bro" Bahahaha..
  20. I remember reading about the Mazdaspeed aftermarket aero parts. Were similar parts used as standard? Time to trudge through google images..
  21. That's gold I'll wager he "cant seem to find it"
  22. Should try and get this thread moved to the Projects, build-ups forum.. Seems to be taking that path Got any pics of the wide body kit? I want 18x10.5 (not sure what offset i would need) on mine, and pretty sure hell would freeze over before i got them fitted up comfortable the way it is. You should look into getting stroked, just so you dont have to wait hours for that turbo to come on to boost.
  23. Definitely one of the more interesting threads on offer That sheet version is very similar to the design i had in mind.. Only difference is i would have it curved on all trailing edges.
  24. Lol. First thought that came to mind.. Deuce Bigolo. As for brakes (OP), i know of a great brand that have affordable bolt on kits. When i head into my tuners shop tomorrow, i'll grab the brand for you. I think it starts with "n"?
  25. Lulz.
