  1. Adding an actuator to the drivers door is one option but a poor one. The angle at which you need to mount the aftermarket actuator makes it unreliable. The actuator rod that conects to the original door locking rod will snap off after a while. A beter option is to tap into the existing system. The car already has actuators in both doors and they work well. The trick is to feed a signal into the central locking module from the new alarm. I think I can figure out the connections if I had a circuit diagram for the R33. I have been searching for ages now for this circuit diagram, but no avail. The "chassis" manual for the R33 is rare and no electronic version seems to be available online. Those who have hard copies are keeping the manual close to their chess!
  2. Can somone please tell me where I can find a circuit diagram for the central locking system for a R33 series 2. I have read a good article in this forum on how to improve security and it mentions the locking control module being near the glove box. (my control mudule has a little beeper in it as well) This is not the case with my car, it sits just under the steering wheel column. I also need to know the location of the "door lock relay" if one exists. My central locking is not fuctioning at all. I can hear some clicks in the control module when I flip the padle switch on the driver door but the doors do not lock or unlock. However, I did notice that the passenger doors unlocks when I put the key into the ignition... when the key is in the ignition I can lock the driver door but the pasenger door will not lock, it just springs back into unlock mode.
