  1. Hi Every1, My S15 has a large number of modifications, it also has an engineering plate. How do I find out which modifications are covered as part of engineering? Apologies if this is a simplistic question, havent ever looked in to this previously and google isnt being too friendly to me today. I'm hoping there is a website or similar where you can put in some details off the plate and it will advise you? Thanks in advance for the advice and direction.
  2. Nice pics spark911. Llove the reflections off the paint in the last one, looks very clean.
  3. Great pics mate. Thanks for the invite - sorry I couldnt make it. Tez, nice centre caps. Hope the boost gauge is still going strong.
  4. Nice car, I almost bought it.
  5. Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words. Another shot of mine I found from a JDMST meet last night.
  6. Went to the JDMST TWAY meet tonight on old windsor road. Spotted 2x R32 GTR's - silver / gunmetal. Also met a friendly SAU member with a very clean Black R33 GTR and LMGT4's.
  7. Hey mate, pics of HKS s15 intake system (arm, pod and clamps) - $150 when ever you get a chance please? My partner may be interested for her car.
  8. My partner wouldnt do the sexy pose for me.. and someone had to do it. Cut out my suggestive facial expression to keep this thread work safe.
  9. That looks fantastic, I actually remember seeing some similar photos you took of a bayside blue 34 GTR a few months ago and falling in love with them.
  10. Very nice pics God_speed and MaTBoY, look fantastic as always.
  11. Thanks mate, will keep practising and learning. I want to get in to the rig shots, will be building one shortly and cant wait to give it a go. Rare colour. Very nice, thanks for sharing.
  12. I have used RainX Xtreme Clean polish on a few of my previous cars to remove the majority of hard glass water marks. If you looked very closely from certain angles, you could still see a few of them - however it definately brought back the clarity and reflections.
  13. I've driven mine without the diffuser previously, didnt notice any difference. I actually have access to a replacement genuine Nissan rear carbon diffuser, still in excellent condition, if anybody is keen - shoot me a PM with an offer.
  14. Please disregard. Found the for sale ad on gumtree, fed my curiosity.
  15. Thanks guys, really appreciate the kind words.
  16. Hello, Extra costs when buying a car. Transfer fees (which will depend on the purchase price of the vehicle, and by state), other maintenance costs which you will need to factor in to the purchase price of the vehicle, example - tyres - etc. If buying from interstate, calculate your costs for airline tickets there and potentially back, and if driving back (fuel, time - etc), or getting it transported (get a quote from CEVA logistics if you go this way). What is a blue / pink slip. You do not need to worry about a blue or pink slip if the car is currently registered. They are both checks which are required to get the car ready for registration / reregistered. Upon purchase you will need to obtain the registration papers from the seller, you will receive the green slip (CTP - Certificate of third party personal liability insurance required for registration of a motor vehicle) in the mail within the next week or so. How much is rego? Registration cost will differ per vehicle, per state. Speak with the relevant motor autorities if you have questions regarding this. Another suggestion would be to speak with your friends who own cars in your state which own similar vehicles to what you are after, to obtain a rough estimation on cost. How much is insurance? Depends on your car, age, driving history, location - etc. Get yourself a quote from justcarinsurance.com.au or similar. Does nsw have car yards. Like ssv in vic. For state. Yes they do, however I suggest you do some google searches for feedback on the car yards before you purchase a car from them. The above answers are just a few quick high level summary answers to your questions. I suggest further research is required before you jump in to purchasing a car and if possible, bring someone with you - potentially a family member or friend who is familar with the process to assist you. If you are looking for a standard skyline, I do not think you need to go down the 'interstate' or importing' path. There are enough local examples in each state to suit the majority of potential purchasers. Also, I do not know your current age, however it is important to note that some states have rules which restrict young drivers from driving turbo charged vehicles.
  17. Hi everyone, Have just finished sourcing all of the required parts for this conversion. For future reference, if anybody has the same factory GTR NAVI unit as mine - for clarification, the side brackets are definately different and you need to also source the double din brackets. If anybody is actually interested in a full kit - PM me as I have one with everything you need which I am thinking of selling - Brackets, brand new genuine nissan double din facia / surround, air con unit with brand new genuine nissan replacement front face. The whole kit literally looks brand new. I'm still tossing up whether to put it in my car or not. Cheers.
  18. Looks great mate, i'd go the yellow / gold stickers personally.
  19. Hello, Thanks for the replies. The behaviour is not on idle, its when driving under low RPM and its intermittent - mainly when its cold. When it warms up, all is well. Poor choice of words on behalf of myself, its not a miss (my mechanic has already kicked my ass for calling it a miss), but I dont know how else to explain it. Just to me, it seems a bit doughy and hesitant while driving in the low RPM range. Comes alive in the higher RPM as expected. My mechanic has checked it and told me this is what stock GTR's are like. Will install the new packs, and not gap plugs. See how she goes.
  20. Update. The Meguiars 'Ultimate' products which were applied at the start of this thread are still holding up well. Dedicated some time towards cleaning her engine bay. No real tricks here, started with degreasing and hosing out the whole area (After covering required items - air box, alarm, AFM's - etc) avoiding electrical areas and valley cover. Required materials - 1) Degreaser and standard hose with spray nozzle 2) Autosol and microfibre cloths for metal polishing 3) Mothers powerball for hard to reach areas 4) Meguiars ultimate compound for painted surfaces 5) A few hours worth of blood, sweat and tears Pics attached. Also took a few better shots of her new front GTR badge. I'm new to photography, having lots of fun learning.
  21. Hello everyone, I have recently put new spark plugs in my R34 GTR. My car is completely standard, I used NGK Platinum PFR6A-11. I will be installing replacement genuine nissan coil packs on the weekend, while i'm in there - was thinking about gapping the plugs down to 0.8. It may just be me, but i'm still feeling a very slight miss under low RPM - just before it comes on boost and mainly when the car is cold. I remember reading previously that gapping the plugs was recommended. Thoughts? My car has already been - - Leak tested, intake manifold gasket replaced with Nitto gasket - Plugs changed - NGK Platinum PFR6A-11. - Rear AFM replaced, front AFM tested - both are perfect - Timing checked - Fuel filter replaced Thanks in advance for advice and direction.
  22. Just received my new coil packs which I purchased from Ewen. Great communication, fast postage and items exactly as described. Would definately recommend. Thanks again.
