Bugger, sorry to hear. Thought it may have been worth a shot (atleast to save you from the fines). Dont mean to pull your thread off topic. Nice car, best of luck again with the sale / driveway - whatever comes first. Cheers mate. -

Just a thought. I have had low cars my whole life and my houses also have a crappy high gutter. For the interim, maybe you should just get a big plank of wood and put it in the gutter so it acts as a ramp. Atleast then you can garage it. It would be a shame to sell it becuase of this but regardless, best of luck with the sale. -

Very very nice. Is this vspec? Please confirm. Cheers. -
Maybe some pics can help you make that decision. I had wings on my first few R34's, but after driving this shopping cart around - I started shaving them. It really depends on the look you are going for and what you've done to the rest of the car though. V35's look great with the factory wing too -

Squeaky Windscreen Wipers - What Is The Solution?
iwanta34gtr replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Im pretty sure I know the ones you're talking about. From memory I actually had them on one of my old R34's. Just dug up some pics and attached. I dont have close ups unfortunately, but you can kinda see them in each pic (some better than others) ..... If these are the same wipers then definately, agreed - they kick ass and look very sleek too. -

Update - Today I purchased two Rain X Products - The first is Rain X Xtreme Clean - http://www.superchea...397#Description And the second is Rain X Original - http://www.superchea...395#Description After using both, im amazed how the water just glides straight off the glass while driving - you dont even have to use the wipers. But when you do use the wipers now, they glide over - very smooth. So im very happy. -
Meguiars G220V2 Polisher - Feedback?
iwanta34gtr replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thanks Eugene, I was actually thinking about warranty this afternoon and your right - it would be a pickle. I did call Meguiars today and confirmed that they have no plans to sell the polisher locally, and they actually suggested that I purchase a Makita or Bosch one. Will definately look further in to this - thanks again. -

Another bump. -
Oh and by the way, 350z uses the same door lock actuators and window motors as the V35 so regardless, be ready for the same fault sooner or later if you do actually decide on this model.

Planning on getting some rain X this morinng, so will post results. -
I had a silver V35 coupe - 2004 model / grade 4A. Got bored of it real quick and bought a 350z convertible and a 350z hard top instead. Im assuming Chris above is referring to the window motors and the door lock actuators. If so, $1000 is actually a cheap quote if thats for both sides and both parts - i'd suggest you keep his number handy as you'll definately need it. From personal experience - Having also owned a series 2 R33, R33 GTR, S15, quite a few R34's - when I compare the older models to the new, Nissan dont seem to make them like they used to. Design faults with the above mentioned parts along with other design faults you'll find as you go along (like the roof on the 350z convertible which kept tearing around the rear window). Personally, I would not recommend a V35 unless you really, really like the style and really need the back seat. Otherwise if you're after a car that is similar - go the 350z. Will also be easier to sell later when it comes time to move it on.

Hi Every1, Sold my evo the other day so have been borrowing my mothers car to get around. While driving, i've noticed that the windscreen wipers on my mothers car are very squeaky. I have just replaced the blades, but they are still squeaking. Ive done some research and heard that cleaning the glass with a product such as 'Rain X' can fix this. Has anyone here got a solution or any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Meguiars G220V2 Polisher - Feedback?
iwanta34gtr replied to iwanta34gtr's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hi every1, I am looking at buying one of these polishers, it would be sent over from the UK. Wanted to confirm - I would obviously need to buy an aus plug / adaptor (as it would have a UK plug) but would it need anything else? (transformer to convert voltage - etc?) Just wondering if anyone knew? I had another member PM me about that and it got me thinking. Ebay link to the polisher is attached - http://www.ebay.com....984.m1423.l2649 Cheers in advance. -
Ran in to this thread. I'd vouch for Carbon Car Systems any day. Daniel has done quality work on just about all of my cars over the years. I'm talking 15+ jobs and i've never had an issue - will continue to go back. Reliable, great service and fantastic work.

Posting so I can refer back to this thread if I ever need to grab one.

SOLD. New owner came and picked her up tonight, couldnt have asked for a better buyer. Cheers mate, enjoy. -
Good write up and fantastic result, well done. If you get a bit of orange peel from the clear coat - etc, or between layers - you can sand it back with 1200 then 2000 grit wet and dry to smooth it out. With the clear, if following the above step - you can then buff it up to a magic shine afterwards.
