Saw this thread a few weeks ago and was waiting for someone to hit the nail on the head. Very good point above, when it comes down to cars - in most cases, you get what you pay for. Im shopping for an R34 GTR at the moment, Ive had 3 or 4 offered to me for around the 36 - 37k mark, however these were for obvious reasons. I'd rather hold out and spend the required $45k - $55k for a fantastic example, rather than just settling for something average.

Clean your AFM. Little black box hooked on to the piping connected to the air box. I had the same issue with my old GTR and one of them was filthy. Otherwise check your spark plugs, coil packs - etc.

Great job explaining the process. I did very similar steps on my evo head lights the other week and now also have the very fine scratches in the lens. And you see it when your really close to it or when the lights are actually on. Anyone have any idea how to remove the fine scratches? I've hit them hard with 2000 grit sand paper twice now. (Couldnt find a finer grade anywhere). I'm thinking about getting one of those mothers powerball 4lights kits. Has the finer grade sanding blocks and also a polishing tool that you can hook up to a drill.

Great job god speed, u beat me 2 it mate. Ive always preferred smoked indicators on lighter coloured cars. Especially in this instance, I believe the smoked will match the rims and are a fantastic contrast.

You've got that right, but ive got a close to mint turbo one and im in Sydney - so dont be discouraged, there still are a few good R34's left. By the time you finish looking though you may end up saving more cash and also want / be able to drive a turbo one. May just be worth holding off buying one until then. Im in a similar boat to you, only im looking for a very clean (and close to stock) bayside blue vspec 34 gtr. Im assuming that theres also a few good ones left, but by the time i finish looking - i'll probably end up with a R35.
