There are absolutely no scratches or scrapes and the foam is also immaculate - it still looks brand new. The snorkel and 2 clips to hold it on to radiator support are also included. Fantastic Steve, thanx again for the info. I asked the seller and have gone through some service receipts. The box currently has Royal Purple synchromax in it. Is this good quality? Or is it still worth changing to the shockproof stuff?

Thanx for the tip. I will call them on Monday morning. I was researching the fault and found reference to redline shockproof in this thread - http://www.skylinesa...chros-5th-gear/ I also see the seller of the car made a post in there back in 2008 so looks like this faults been present on the car for a few years. Are we sure that shockproof will make a difference? All other gears are fine. Its just 5th. Thank u again i really appreciate ur help.

Hello Sean, thanx for the reply. I believe the previous owner already changed the gearbox oil (not sure what was put in though) and problem still remains. Dont know if its of relevance but car is putting out 250rwkw and has a Exedy heavy duty clutch with plenty of meat on it.

Hi every1, Ive recently bought a 34 gtt as my daily until i find my gtr. I have noticed that under any load, 5th gear is starting to get resistance while trying to put it in. It is okay when driving around town, but when on freeway its obvious. Doesnt happen when shifting down, only up in to 5th. Had a similar issue with my 350z and had to get the box rebuilt and a new synchro put in to fix it (cost me $1500). But my 350z would crunch hard, this doesnt. There is a slight noise but still slots in pretty easily. Im assuming the synchro for 5th is on the way out, any1 have any suggestions where is the best place to take it and a idea on cost? I live in Rouse Hill in Sydney. Still deciding whether to fix it or just try and live with it until it completely breaks. Thanx in advance.

I had a similar issue with the tail light in my 350z light after water damage. It turned out to be the connector / harness thing that u plug the bulb in to. Look inside it it may have corrosion from water. I just used a toothbrush and a small rag with wd40 or similar on it to clean the corrosion. Worked fine after that. Hope this helps u.

Its okay, fair question. Im happy to explore Brisbane or QLD for cars and drive them back, but Perth just a bit too far for me. Im happy to wait for one to pop up a bit closer, was looking at one in Melbourne that was very sexy but turned out to be a kaizo kit car from the states unfortunately.

Yes mate cost him a bit to get it from Melbourne and on the roads. Even more 4 me as its a further distance from Perth to Sydney.
