  1. That's a good result mate, are you really running stock 30 bottom including oil pump?
  2. Soo I bought a reputable brand clutch 400kw single plate less than 3 months ago & had it fitted by a reccomended workshop on this forum, all was fine untill the other night. Went to change gears and peddle went straight to the floor & couldn't select any gear, got under the car and inspected and found that the throw out bearing had separated from the pressure plate, is this a common problem with pull type clutches? What would usually cause this failure? Just asking for opinions. Spoke to the clutch manufacturer and the said the see this issue a fair bit and that it's cause by ppl letting the transmission hang from the clutch during re installation. The asked me to take it in to them so they can inspect it, Hopefully they will warrant it as I don't want to spend another $1600 on a clutch for it to fail again. If it is the installers fault then I hsve fat chance of them covering it as they seem to have closed their business

  4. Do u need to change drive shafts when doing this conversion or are the the same?
  5. Destroyed a new $1600 clutch at willowbank last night! Whatever holds the throw out bearing in the pressure plate (pull type clutch) decided to fail So started the process of pulling out the box, had to cut the front drive shaft bolts with a grinder because a un named favorite business on here who fitted the clutch rounded the nuts off.

  7. As the title states I'm after a tiptronic auto from a c34 stagea, surely there are plenty out there, may possibly swap 260rs manual trans and stuff .if ur about do do a manual swap or have done snd u have what I'm after pm me please Anthony
  8. Yeah mate it's disappointing but I guess it's part of racing! I'm not sure if I should pull the engine and leave the box in or box out leave engine in or both out . I got a awesome 1.6 60" best launch to date,
  9. Yeah,clutch broke on first run I got a awesome launch, went to select second and couldn't get gears, rolled to the finish.
  10. Gtr260 has a broken clutch, "stupid pull type clutch. " Now there is the fun job of pulling the box out to take the clutch back for warranty

  22. i spent a few hours on a rb30 block i have plans for, drilled the hole for the relocated tensioner, half drilled the drains to 8mm (need a longer drill bit if anyone knows where to get one) drilled the main bearing oil galleries out to 7mm, drilled the plug out of the main oil gallery so i can clean all the swarf out & also enlarge that a lil bit. pics are showing the difference between the standard size oil gallery and modified
