Nsw is a big state, it would probably help if you gave a little more detail of where in Nsw u are. Get a nitto or tomei pump for the new engine, that will prevent u having the same issue in the future. Depending on what u are lookin at spending it may be cheaper to import a short block from RIPS in nz. http://www.ripsltd.com/products.html

Buy a 260rs if u can afford it, then u basically have a gtr and a family car all in one, mine is currently makin 270kw and gets 12.5 liters to the 100km.

Glad to see u got ur car going again, as for what's causing it there are many possibilities, bad earth is a common cause of things shorting out, broken wires, have u done anything electrical to the car lately? Install something ,remove something? Make sure that the connection to the computer is on properly and the bolt done up, check all connector to igniter,coils may ect. Make sure battery terminals are tight and in good order. Also make sure u have the correct fuse amp fuses in the fuse box, someone may have put a higher amp fuse in there cause they had nothing else, if my memory serves me correctly its 10a for the ecu. That sounds like ur losing 12v to the ecu when cranking, if ur ecu isn't getting power then u won't get the fuel pump to prime, u'll get no spark or injector pulse.

Yeah ur battery may have a dead or dry cell, this will cause it to have enough power to run ur lights stereo wipers ect but not enough to start it! I had a simmilar problem recently with my wifes 2010 fiesta, took the battery to battery world had it tested, bought a new one put it in and problem solved

I get my efi hose from pirtek, it's good quality & doesn't leak. The standard stainless Nissan clamps just fit over it

I just removed the rails and blocked the holes in the roof up with stainless bolts and sikaflex. I'm yet to work out what to do with the rectangular holes in the filler panels. Prob just tac some stainless strips in there and bog it up and paint

Bahahaha, sorry to hear mate. It's best to ban ur wife from the garage. Whilst I have never had this problem I'm sure my wife wishes I'd write my 260rs off or that It would catch fire or something. She calls my stag the never ending story!
