heard back from Nissan today, leak down test came back fine so not head gasket or head(thank god) they are going to re flush radiator, check thermostat, as well replace spark plugs and do a plenum clean.

I couldn't smell anything, nothing in oil, when start in morning no steam or anything out exhaust, I guess im just hoping I didn't bleed it properly, they are checking it tomorrow and will call with what the go is, if it is major I think ill just pick it up and take it somewhere else

gave up and took it to Nissan today, they wont look at it till tomorrow but he said he thinks itl be head gasket, and will cost around 5k+ to fix because have to replace cam chain to, seems like a lot to me, can anyone shed some light to what sorta price I should be looking or where to take it in nz, Auckland or Tauranga.

So just keep the car running with bleed valve open until no bubbles are coming out

Update bleed again this morning got a lot of air bubbles out, but still over heating until I put heaters on will let cool Down will try again tonight

Ok thanks ill leave over night and try that in the morning.

I filled from main radiator, havnt got new cap, so do I need To flush and refill via the bleed valve?

I tried again this morning, didn't see any air bubbles will let cool down and have another go, when the bleed cap is off should that be full with coolant running through it cause mine wasn't.

Well that's what I thought but I looked at the videos and did what they did.

On Thursday car started over heating got a little over half way turned it off let it cool down and topped it up drove home, next day checked it out had crack in top radiator bought new radiator installed it did the bleed thing well think I did seemed sweet drove 10min down road started over heating turned heater on full and kept it at normal temp drove 2 hours like that sweet, checked fluid in morn didn't need topping up and will still start getting hot if heater not on, cracked head?

It looks like its coming from the chassis rails

So went for a wof today and failed on rust took the back bumper off and this is what i found doesnt look good, anyone know what may have caused this?

i dont know if we have same complience thing here in nz, was looking under dash and found a nissan alarm box, but theres a few wires going here and there that definatly dont look factory, guess ill get an auto elec to check it out and hope for the best.

will this be why my starter is getting no power? also can any decent auto elec do this?

It was a standard nissan alarm key, i was suprised it worked with a normal key as the alarm was activated when key was lost, when i unlocked door with normal key it beeped for a bit put it in ignition and worked,.

Have dash lights, was meaning where it has the little letter as to what gear your in is lit up but not showing any letter

Couldnt see anything had been disconnected all tho i didnt really know what i was looking for, noticed on the dash nothing is showing up where should say d,n,r or what ever, battery looks to have just died the first thing i thought when it didnt start was battery so i hooked jumper leads up and didnt do anything aa guy also tryed to, so with in 20mins my batt has died..dont know if this has somthing to do with it or just coincidence or what

2001 300gt sedan, was putting in another lighter plug in middle consol bit today went to start car incase batt was going flat and nothing, all dash lights,windows eveything working but wont start, had aa guy come out he told me theres no power going to starter motor, a month ago the alarm key got lost, have been using a normal 10$ key cut since and has been working fine, has somthing iv done triggered the immobiliser to go off maybe?
