clutch hissing noise
Trust33 replied to junkie13's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey J-13 mine was making that hissing sound (i thought it was the thrust race) but as fate would have it with diy installs it only happend when the car was cold........When it gets warm though its allright it just took a bit of soft driving to bed it in i think.....say a hour or two drive in moder8 traffic conditions.GTR-MAGEDDONIT may be right your point of grab adjustment could be the answer.... Hope this helps....Another question can hydraulic clutches be adjusted like cable clutches? -
If your like me and cant weld aluminium and all you need is a new front mount to meet up with the existing return pipe going under the intercooler you could you take it to a shop get them to mount it and have the pipe made there on the spot drive your car home and refit the front bar yourself? It makes sence...It would save alot of money. And only a bit of real effort on your behalf.

Is there any way you can show us or a site or ph:number so that we can verify if they are made in the same factory as the legit hybrids?

HKS Hypermax Coil-Over Shocks? pretty to look at but!
Trust33 replied to superspit's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hey J33 how did u find out that u needed 2 turn the very top nut (is it the one exposed in the engine bay?)..Also who did you get this info from to turn it.....It sounds a bit 2 sus to me to be doing somthing like this without the help of a proper profesional. Were'nt u afraid of over tightening it?Tell me why did this solve the problem...what purpose does it have 2 the shock? -
HKS Hypermax Coil-Over Shocks? pretty to look at but!
Trust33 replied to superspit's topic in General Automotive Discussion
THis has happend 2 my 2 front hipermax 2 shocks.i took them to bd4's and they tested for travel in the cylenders there was and they had to be reconditioned(i think it's got somthing to do with the seals themselves not being abel to hold the pressure to one side of the cylender thus them leaking cre8ing the travel and having that knocking sound. It wasent the springs nor was it the pillow ball upper mounts. It's only a cm or 2 of play but she bangs when she moves over gradients in the road. here try this place out ther the only place i know of who recos them....if you know of any other places who reco do tell..... its @>>> www.shockreco.com.au -
So why not run fmic pipes back under the coola past the air filter to the stock plenum?ceramic coat & heat wrap the pipes in the engine bay?wouldnt this be a good enough setup so you get less heat soak due to less piping in the bay as well??/ (i know there are shorter runs to a GTR plenum but theres money to be saved here for other mods especially when you dont know if the change is for looks or performance)but as far as iv heard the stock plenum is reliable for 450hp.Is this true?Tell us whats the power your chasing. Is it for a future engine upgrade?surely a setup like this would run cool enough for those figures. And while ur at it why not get a vented bonnet to keep those temps under controll.... :flamer:

Hi.A revs certificate only covers if the previous owner has a outstanding debt to pay on the car.So you dont buy into his debt and the finger is not pointed at u if somthing like that ever did arise.

How do you measure intercooler sizes?
Trust33 replied to Trust33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Theres no big turbo yet im just thinkin about it my car is gettin a respray a kit and maybe a front mount if there is any money left.A bigger turbo is still a future mod.I think i agree with u mcboost that coola is more than ample for a 390hp @ motor in the future. :elaugh: :spcartman -
How do you measure intercooler sizes?
Trust33 replied to Trust33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Well i was told by con @ c&v performance...Well first i told him that i was chaseing arround 390hp @ the engine and he said ''the bigger the better''.And i said ''how big'' n he said 300 by 600 by 90.U c the bigger the drop in inlet temps the easier its gonna be to make safe power. He also said that its better when playing with the timing to have cooler inlet temps and there is less chance of detonation when running high ammounts o booosto. So thats it the bigger the better. :alien: -

Maybe but besides that the core has a rock crease in it.And its a big rock crease by the way and i was looking at replacing it anyway.I want to get a hybrid maybe their prices arnt to bad and their performance is exceptional?give me a day and i might be able to find out how they measure size to horsepower..... -
