ive been using used 17/235 potenza re030 on the front for a few weeeks and have had the texikahna to test them out at.
they are pretty good tyres to drive on in the dry and the wet compared to the federal 595ss's i was previously driving on.
rate:
dry:8/10
wet:7/10
they still have their limit in the wet but for normal driving in wet weather they are grippy enough to have controll of the car.to put them in comparison.there is a road that is notorious for understeer in the wet near home and when i had these on it was not understeering at the same speed.
a good way to loose some pounds.
so 32's are only affected.
nsta:good news on one front.but bad news on another.does your power steering belt squeek.and hard to turn the wheel.at first start up mine will squeel for 10 sec's then i give it a rev and it finds grip.i have tightened that little bugger up hard and it still does it.i think it's because the belts are a generic brand.seriously.genuine nissan belts are shorter in legnth. wonder if the pump has had it?
if i were going to build my engine and was thinking about going on the cheap but keeping it in standard block guise and not going the 3.0l route then i would use the
*rb26 rods *forged pistons *thicker head gasket *clean the head up with reco and port matching done on the inlet and outlet yada.
they use these rods to over 300 rwkw in the gtrs.thats some serious power for a rwd street car.
ive allready sent them off to brizzy anyway.but id still like to hear from anyonwe who has found a hks recoer in sydney or NSW.seriously i dont know what the big deal is qwith it.all they would need to do is order in some parts and fix the shock..they really arnt that different in basic design when you think about it.so to reco them i would think itd be a sinch for an experienced shop.
good question i would also like to hear the answer of this.
does your hicas light light up?
i have the electroinc hicas lock which cancells the electroinc and lock shims handle mechanical lock side of things.though there is a process that has to be undertaken to turn the light off.when i was at a reputable un-named workshop they couldnt seem to turn the dash light off.so i just roll arround with the hicas light on 24/7.
id think that if the power steering was not working straight after you have done this mod then it more than likely has a connection with hicas.though id still check the level of the power steering fluid and turn the car on and see if it turns any better.
follow the hose from the reservoir and see where it goes to and if it splits to the hicas.
all you would need to do anyway is throw a bung and a ring clamp on the offending hose.and the problem should be fixed.
read some of the facts about top fullers, next time your strolling past amanda sheppards top fueller,in the pits.its on a display board.some will make you think..wow.
