This is a recent detail I did, and wanted to demonstrate a little bit of the talent in products we have in Australia. So here goes Australia vs Japan forget the world cup this is way more important . Oh and there is a little bit of germany in there also . This was a new car prep and opti-coat windows, paint, wheels, and exhaust tips. It is hard to see any corrections as there were only fine marring that didn't show up in pictures so I didn't bother. Bowdens Own, an Australia company who have a huge interest in car care products and manufacture their own. After all they do have a HUGE collection of classic cars, they are also based in QLD. I used the following: Body Gel Naked Glass Agent Orange (degreaser) Bug and Tar Leather Lover Vinyl Care Metal Polish Paint Cleanser These can all be found and purchased at http://www.bowdensown.com.au . I also used Menzerna polishes, Iron-X, and Opti-coat as the sealant of choice. I use a lot of Bowdens and the purpose of this is to show people you don't always have to look across international waters for good products and pay for fancy names to get good products. As the car arrived, a little dirty but mainly just dust on the car. Bowdens Body Gel, this is a thick gel concentrate and uses bugger all per wash with the added advantage of being pH neutral. It also suds up great! Iron-X dwelling on the wheels. Foam bath lifting the dirt off. Bowdens Tar and Bug Agent Orange was used on the wheels to pull the dirt from the tires and wheel well. Bowdens Own Tar and Bug stripping the contaminants from the paint. After and foam and rinse. After a hand wash with Bowdens Body Gel. Menz 85RD with a LC black finishing pad Bowdens Cleanser with LC red pad, this was used prior to the Opti-coat application. Paint prior to Opti-Coat. Vinyl Care used on the interior…. Followed with Leather Love, this was the first time I used Leather Love and it was fantastic leaving a matte finish instead of shine. My munchies for the day! Who said detailing wasn't dangerous Opti-Coat Ready for Application Finished Shots

Everything comes out you just got to know what to use and how. I strongly suggest calling Antonio at Waxit.com.au ask about the hand polishing pads and little polish bottles and they will come out Regards, Mitch
-
You can use the hand pads for polishing call waxit and speak to antonio tell him your from the forums and he will point you the right way As for Bowdens their stuff is so EASY to work with now they have spent alot of time and money in the labs perfecting everything. I seriously suggest purchasing some stuff and trying it out. Regards, Mitch

Assuming your a playboy reader and didnt actually read the paragraph at the start, if you did you would relise its a clients car not mine. But yes that is oxidization around the fuel cap. REgards, Mitch -
2007 Wrx Wagon Detail

Removed the badge, used a product called Autosmart Tardis to remove the rest of the sticky residue then gave it a polish to get the "hologram" off of it. If you like give me a call sometime swing past and we can remove any badges you want and fix up the holograms, wont cost much at all. Regards, Mitch -

Japan vs Germany….Germany 1 – Japan 0 WRX ghost gone USA vs Japan……sorry but Japan lost again. EEEEK after only one going over with leather cleaner! Already beading A LOT better and that is with no sealant or wax. Swissvax Shield Curing Some after unfortunately it was dark at this stage so true glamour shots weren’t possible, but I tried by adjusting the shutter speed. Hope you enjoy Regards, Mitch -

This is a forum members 07 WRX booked in for a basic detail and correction. The car arrived and was clear that the previous owner had shares in drive thru car washes evident by straight scratches over the bonnet and roof and horizontal scratches on the tail lights! The idea of this detail wasn’t to perfect it but to improve it to a reasonable standard. As you will see from pictures it is no where near perfect but A LOT better than previously as the job specified. Products used: Bowdens Body Gel- http://www.bowdensown.com.au/premium-car-care Iron-X Soap and Nerta in foam lance- http://waxit.com.au/proddetail.asp?prod=CP172&cat=22 Iron-x on wheels- http://waxit.com.au/proddetail.asp?prod=CP15&cat=22 Menzerna Polishes- http://waxit.com.au/proddetail.asp?prod=PO250KITOEM&cat=22 Lake Country Pads Zaino Leather cleaner and conditioner- http://waxit.com.au/proddetail.asp?prod=Zkitl&cat=67 303 Aerospace protectant- http://waxit.com.au/proddetail.asp?prod=PO250KITOEM&cat=22 Bowdens Naked Glass- http://www.bowdensown.com.au/naked-glass Bowdens Paint Cleanser- http://www.bowdensown.com.au/auto-body-cleanser Bowdens Tyre Shine- http://www.bowdensown.com.au/tyre-sheen A Few prior to starting work. Cleaning out some of the soot in the tips, you have to be carefull with this as water can damage muffler packing. Cleaning around the badges and in the petrol cap. Bah it’s a ghost! Interior Before EEEK! All taped up ready to go. Some befores, afters and 50/50s Before and After

Hi all I am trying to post another detail thread but for some reason some pics work some come up as the link for the picture why is this? All pictures were hosted and copied as a group from photobucket so it makes no sense to me Regards, Mitch

Hi great that your getting into proper car care! For a shampoo I'm hooked on Bowdens Own Gel Shampoo atm www.bowdensown.com.au, they are aussie owned and are located in QLD also. Polishes are scratch removers , and for that you cant go past Menzerna but for a hobbyist Poorboys is great and I still do use it at times. www.waxit.com.au who are a forum sponsor carry that also. Paint Cleanser Bowdens Own Paint Cleanser is great and I love that at the moment. For a sealant Chemical Guys Jetseal109 is great and then I was told by Antonio from Waxit that DP Maxwax is great! which can be found at waxit.com.au Regards, Mitch

+1 but as I said try your electroplaters, thats def not real aliminium.

correct, or if it drops and touches ground or anything but your hands or the cars paint THROW IT OUT GUYS! why risk a full correction on a $5 piece of clay?

350Z Detail Epic Change!
immacreflections replied to immacreflections's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Nope though I dont get much on them as I spray the wheel not the brakes. Havent heard of this either. -
I would say folding as opposed to kneading just so it doesnt confuse people. You want to fold it over so the part you were previously using is now in the middle of your "pancake shape" clay.
