No worries I will let you know. -
Thanks, glad people are enjoying my information and hope they find it helpful. I check this section of the forum atleast twice a day and any where I think something needs correcting or someone needs help I will try and give my view. In saying that I;m not always right and Antonio from waxit.com.au knows his stuff inside out also as I'm sure you do. Regards, Mitch

Uv Sealant For Headlights
immacreflections replied to Charles89's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Although I will have to double check off the top of my head I disagree. A reason you use waxes and sealants is due to them having protection from uv also, if you did a car half maintained wax half not by taping it down the middle. After 3-4 years if you pull that tape of you would see a clear difference and I'm 99.99999999% sure that is the case with c.quartz also. Regards, Mitch -

Incorrect, what i was stating is dont get caught up in the cheaper waxes stating 70-100% carnauba wax because you will find they will be wax content not volume. See below 200g tub of wax "massive 90% carnauba wax content" the wax content is only 25% of the 200g meaning your canuaba wax contect is 90% of 50g. giving you an actual carnauba by volume content of 45g less or 22.5% by volume. Also there are varying grades of carnauba waxes, generally waxes use grade 1 and 2. then they also come in yellow and white or ivory. These all make a difference in price, durability, and quality. If you are speaking of Crystal Rock Crystal Rock is 76% BY VOLUME pure grade 1 ivory carnauba wax. means 76% of the wax by volume so 152g are grade 1 ivory carnauba wax. Does this make more sense?

Sorry to start an argument as i didnt want to but it seems as though you have a very close relation to Damian and FI? I had previously stated FI wasnt tested in this. If you read the whole thread he hardly drove the trailer it was sitting in the yard 90% of the time so it wouldnt effect different areas largely differnt Maybe I'm wrong maybe i just dont know what I'm doing and other reputable detailers of which one is the most known exotic car detailer in Australia IMO agree that there are better sealants. If thats the case sorry, Have you used jetseal 109, opti-seal, opti-coat, gtechnique c1, cquartz, and the klasse combo? If so and you have found SEAL to be better then there must something your doing that many others are not. Regards, Mitch
-
I tried it on my fathers VE caprice after a fresh detail and correction 50/50 boot and bonnet with jet seal 109 on the other half. I wash his car fortnightly foaming and hand washing. After this i found jetseal still on but not at its best after 5 months and the SEAL pretty much obsolete after 3.5 months. At this stage i clayed the car and started over using the klasse combo and topped with Crystal Noir wax 3 coats. Regards, Mitch

Great Job Antonio. How do you find the kompressor pads? I find the can cut alot quicker than their standard "equivalent" I'm addicted to the constant pressures unless do a heavy cut. How long did you leave between coats on the wax? Regards, Mitch -
+1 a clay would be your best bet
-
Sorry i have to STRONGLY reccomend against. I have used and know people who have used the FI sealant and found it not good in durability and sheeting. There was a HUGE test done on sealants and Klasse AIO and Sealant combo lasted 6 months on a horse carrier in the UK winter as did Chemical Boys Jetseal109. You can buy Klasse from waxit.com.au who are also a supporter of the forums and club....support those who support you! Alternativly chemguys.com.au you can get jetseal from Topped with a nice wax like colli or P21S carnauba would be great! these can be bought all together as one from waxit.com.au btw do a search on reviews on all detailing items before you buy its your best guarantee. Regards, Mitch

Cars For Sponsorship At National Meet

I've never had issues with Dodo hazing, though i do find them difficult to apply as opposed to a swissvax or others. But in saying that they are good waxes and i still use them when i feel a little energetic and question why when im finished . Who speaks for your R34 ? going by the rest of the site I will go with FI? Apparently no R34 owners would like a free detail and protection.........but then people pay $1200-$2000 for factory "protection packages" go figure :S. Regards, Mitch -

I have a selection of Menzerna, Meguiars M105 and M205, and poorboys also. I use Swissvax Waxs, Dodo Juice, Have a pot of Migliore Prezidenial among a whole heap of others. I do not skimp on products and use what i believe are the best, not always meaning most expensive though. Regards, Mitch Jackson PS are you interested in your R34 being done for the Nationals?
