Pretty keen to hear how the twin 7163 goes Geoff please keep us updated! Wouldn't happen to be able to share a dyno sheet of the above mentioned car? I have a 7670 with 1.05 rear coming for my stock block evo 9 in a few weeks! Making my own manifold and plumbing up too. Cant wait to see how it goes! -
Lol! Why do you need to chop your front bar? Install MASSIVE front mount and leave the bar off its just a restriction anyways

No More E-flex At Caltex Pendle Hill End Of February 2015
Mick_o replied to Andrew R33's topic in New South Wales
What a tight kent! Pay $600 - $800 for a tune to lose power and gain what maybe 3 or 4L/100km? Seems like false ecomomy to me. The money spent on tuning back to 98 would still outweigh your fuel bill Eflex is still 20c cheaper than E10. I dont care how much it costs i will never use petrol again! Sell your skyline and buy a VW polo 1.2L of turbo fury and you will get 6-7L/100km in Sydney traffic.. -
Small rear housing plus 98 isn't a very good idea imo.. I made 288kw on a GTX 3071 on 98. Id look at something smaller than a 6262 for 280kw. That kinda power can be had on a stock lowmount position kinda turbo. Big $$$ changing manifolds and plumbing up EWG etc for a laggy 280kw - 350kw IMO.
-
A GT35 will have epic response on a 3.4L certainly wouldn't be testing the bottom end of the spool kit. Nor would i think it'd warrant a big $$$ head either. I'd imagine a GT35 falling off around or probably before 7K. Depending on what exactly your plans are for the car maybe start looking for something like a 6466?
-
Lol don't listen to the self proclaimed king of lag either! Go with 9's forget about 7's and 5's! Everyone knows how much fun it is losing to a stock WRX at the lights unless you're spinning your car to redline in the 1st 3 gears!

Educated Guess At The Final Tune Results
Mick_o replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
LOL @ this guy! Are you serious mate? I don't know what Petes bill was BUT it'd have to be starting at $30K+ im pretty sure thats enough to be classed as a high end customer! Sure there is blokes/GTRKAT that throw bucket loads more money at those blokes than Pete did does that mean he deserved a car that wasn't setup right from the beginning does it? -

Yeah i agree i just had a good dump! Feel so much lighter! Great news on the car Pete i think thats the least they coulda done being the high end customer you were! Your build wasn't exactly a budget build so why they left pieces of the puzzle out like dump pipes etc before the tuning process was beyond me?! -

Still Expierenceing Boost Creep .63 To .82
Mick_o replied to Jaydenk92's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Not ALL split dumps are the badguys everyone is making them out to be. Obviously their design is the big factor. I ran a split dump on my GTX3071R setup and never had a boost contol issue with a 1 bar actuator running 25psi of boost. -

^^^ Told him to stick with the GTX3071R but didn't listen! Picked up the GTX35R for a good price so couldn't turn it down. Told him not to go .63 he DID listen but still insists on using the .63 even after the entire internets has agreed with me lol. The 3071 woulda smacked that all over ball park mate and it'd be on song 2000+rpm earlier! Lead a horse to water...... -
Hi Neil yeah i could mate stainless steel is more my thing though but be glad to help
